Crave Case

Hopps x Quartersnacks items will be available on the QS webstore this Wednesday, October 6 at 11 A.M. E.S.T. Available at your local shop now ♥ Might be another something special dropping this week too ;)

It’s unreal how much footage John Shanahan gets. He’s got a new part out for Pangea Jeans. Heavy on the night footy, heavy on the midtown marble. Ender is nuts.

Love this new feature: Skate Jawn gives somebody a hundred-dollar bill and follows them around to see how they spend it. The first episode is with Ty Beall.

Skate Jawn also has an interview with QS office favorite, Brian Reid.

“LOVE or Muni?” “Muni, for sure. LOVE was torn out.” Thrasher has a group interview with all the people who had sections in the Sabotage x DC video.

Village Psychic has a recap of the curb contest they threw at Thomas Greene last weekend. The spot’s got a new curb, too ;) Probably the best thing there. Shout out to Pat.

Beagle is the latest guest on The Bunt.

Jenkem has an awesome feature about skateboarding’s relationship to the sprawl of public space in Asian cities with Duncan McDuie-Ra, the author of Skateboarding and Urban Landscapes in Asia: Endless Spots. They don’t mention it in the piece, but Taipei has been high on the list since the Jacob Harris “Stuck Inside A Film” edit, which you should definitely rewatch.

Boil the Ocean pontificates on “The Trilogy Conundrum” — that uncertain step of skaters starting a third board company.

Non-Skate Content Alert, but wanted to give a big shout out to Willy Staley for his Sopranos piece in the New York Times Magazine this past weekend. (Willy skates, and wrote the Tyshawn NYT profile in 2019.) Actual Sopranos obsessives probably have all sorts of takes on it, but even for those of us who have seen ~a dozen episodes, it’s just an incredible piece of writing about the period it was produced in, and our present.

Quote of the Week
Inquisitive Gentleman: “Ben, do you have the inside scoop on street sex?”
Ben Blundell: “Yeah, it’s huge in Calgary. You can get famous from it.”
