Club Going Glue on a Tuesday — Cooper Winterson’s Glue Skateboards Part

Skated by the whoo-de-whoo spot at Southbridge Towers the other day, and remembered that Cooper Winterson’s \m/ video — the one that gave much of the world an early intro to Sage Elsesser, Aidan Mackey, Ben Kadow (Ben back 3’s the aforementioned bump-to-flat in it) et al. a year before “cherry” dropped — turned ten this summer. On one hand, we can give you a “time flies”cliché here. On the other, there’s such a thing as being “quietly influential” a la “if you know, you know” and \m/ certainly carries that distinction if we clock a lot of the indie videos to come after it.

And These Links From Snacks Not From YouTube

Thanks to everyone who grabbed something off the webstore sale last week. Should be caught up on shipping by end of today 📦💨

The NPR Story on the A.V.E. bench spills a bit of the secret on how the bench got to Richmond, Virginia at the end, straight from…the Temple University police. Bravo to skateboarders, for always figuring it out. If you aren’t already aware, @ave_bench on Instagram has been tracking the world tour at every turn.

Breeze From the East

Our webstore is now chirping with summer QS goods. Thanks for your support, as always ❤️ Available in U.S. QS accounts now. Arriving internationally now 🌏 Photo via Prov Tokyo.

This video rules: “Nice On” by Par Skateboards out of New Jersey. Perhaps the first skate video to be cross-edited with golf footage, so if golf hits the #trendwatch, you know where the nascency was. Otherwise, an all-around inspirational watch on the levels of fun you could squeeze out of hanging out in a industrial park with your friends.

“What happens when Kim Kardashian posts a picture wearing one of your hats?” Village Psychic spoke to Jerry Hsu about the ins-and-outs of starting a brand in the era where everyone has a brand + about the 1993 Foundation team, naturally.

Glue & Friends — ‘wick & spit’ Is The Latest From Glue Skateboards

This one premiered over the weekend, but only catching it now.

Stephen Ostrowski’s projects always feel special, and the latest is obviously no exception — though it’s hard not to wish that Stephen had a bit more time in front of the lens 😔

“wick & spit” is a Glue Skateboards + extended family video, featuring an intro part from Leo Baker (crazy that Carroll Gardens schoolyard truly popped off as soon as the Carroll manny pad met its demise), and a heavy closer from Donovan Wildfong, which includes the elusive *triple replay* of a clip from the same angle. In between, you’ll find guest clips from QS favorites like Cooper Winterson, Akobi Williams, Briana Delaney and Evan Wasser.

Zebra Week

The Quartersnacks Nike SB Dunk Low Pro will be available at skateshops in the U.S. + Europe on September 18. (Yes, the date got moved.) No, we will not be selling it on our webstore. We *will* have a few regular QS merch items that we did in conjunction with the shoe available soon. Photo by David Cabrera.

Stephen Ostrowski is pro for Glue! And has a new part! Always get so shook watching people skate that yellow wall rail thing at Long Island University because of how close your head is to the barbed wire. Fully yelled at the screen when Stephen ducked under it. Also includes a beast varial heel courtesy of Cooper and his shenanigans ♥ (P.S. The Ether section at Three Up Three Down is still office-favorite viewing.)
