Late on all of this, but…got sucked into a Google wormhole of reading about ghost cities in China — urban developments intended for millions of people that ended up containing maybe ~2% of that projection. Referring back to that one dude talking about employment in the United States, but focusing on New York, forgot about the inequality of opportunities within the educational system. Not everyone can go to college or afford to pay for schooling. And why does it matter how anyone gets paid if getting any kind of money from any kind of source is the end goal. There will always be a wealth and opportunity gap, but at least skaters can navigate those challenges instead of just sitting around asking for handouts.
