Summer Bod Goals

Though we never released the official transcripts, there was a QS Board meeting this past winter than rendered the era of the five-to-six minute web montage completely, like, ~over~. With Instagram videos reaching one-minute durations now, we’ve come full circle in that dudes can basically break through with about as much footage as they would have needed for a 411 “Wheels of Fortune” in 1998. Hoarding clips from February until Memorial Day for a mega montage seems like something that made more sense in 2010 yaknow? Quick “logs” make more sense, and here’s some stuff that didn’t make a lot of those aforelinked #logs yo. Jk, the “End of Summer” clip will probably be fifteen minutes long ;)

This Memorial Day Weekend also commemorates four years since QS relaunched as a modern, somewhat frequently updated enterprise. Prior to that (2005-2010), it was a depository of inside jokes that got updated bi-weekly. It has sometimes been a struggle to keep this thing current during those four years, but it’s been fun. Four years is a long time — when the site relaunched, Waka was the most #relevant rapper out, our intro post had Jersey Shore references, Amare Stoudemire played for the Suns and they were in the Western Conference Finals, and Monday Links happened on Saturdays — so we’d like to pat ourselves on the back a bit. We’d also like to thank you for visiting, talking shit in the comments, and any kind words or referrals throughout the years.

Hard to even remember what life was like before Future.

After temporarily maxing out with the Forrest Edwards re-edit, we took an example from the recent direction of Baker Boys music supervision. Filmed from January through maybe one day ago, hence substantial greenery increases between varying Columbus Circle clips. Be back on Tuesday. Have a good weekend.

PEEP THE ILL ANGLES FAM. In skateboarding, the dolly shot is “the Ty Evans shot.” Above, is the Quartersnacks shot. We have officially contributed to skateboarding’s cinematographic lifeblood. Or something.

Threw a bunch of shit from the past three weeks on a Final Cut timeline over one of Lil’ Boosie’s more triumphant songs. Us having not used a Boosie song for a clip since “Wipe Me Down” was out in the summer of 2007 (isn’t it great how clip posts used to go up at 2 A.M?) is more embarrassing than having used only one circa 2009 Gucci Mane song.
