Was tempted to call this a “bro cam” video, but it’s more. A lot of great skating here: “The 306 Video” by Neil Herrick features the 306 crew, and a lot of surprises along the way. Mostly city stuff, with a bit of upstate. The monster shuv 5050 on Courthouse was so sick.

Enjoyed this one a lot: “Lidocaine,” a seven-minute New York video by Robert Marohn. One of the great joys of watching local videos is seeing people find new ways to skate shit that buildings or the city recently skate-blocked 😈 — good bit of that in here, plus footy of the infamous 95th & Columbus brick bank spot.

Ewan Creed — who hasn’t put anything on his YouTube since The Bot Video 2 nearly four years ago (time is insane…fuck) — uploaded this montage of unused footy, with a part worth of unseen Mecca clips at the start, some young(er) Kyota footy, and other highlights from the era when the Broome Street median was a popping spot 🕰

I wasn’t equipped, equipment-wise or mentally, to decide, ‘This moment is a photo,’ and I need to go out of my way to get it no matter what people think.” The Slam City Skates blog has an interview with French photographer, Benjamin Deberdt, about coming to New York to shoot photos of Keenan, Huf and the Cardona brothers in the nineties. (He shot the above Huf photo.)

WOW2G is a new 22-minute video by Eighty Twenty, Hell World, and the Travel Skateshop family. Half-New York, half-Jersey spots. Aron Moloney (first full part) and Derek Thor (second-to-last part) both crush it. The pinches on those switch front crooked grinds!

Also a decent dose of Jersey City footy in Neema Joorabchi’s new B-roll montage.

If you haven’t seen Fred Gall’s “Out There” on Thrasher, it fucking rules. Make yourself a nice sandwich and throw on his Bobshirt interview from 2018 afterwards.

Usually the assumption on these posts is that you’ve already seen anything that Thrasher posted last week, but Jaakko Ojanen and Eetu Toropainen’s shared part is absolutely nuts. You’ll be hard pressed to find another recent part with this much mind-bending shit that still actually looks good. Nobody skates like Jaakko.
