The Say You Swear podcast interviewed Naquan Rollings — one of the most prolific videographers today — with guest commentary from Father Bop throughout.

“You’re a smart person. Smart people get uncomfortable couches.” Village Psychic posted up part two of Lurker Lou and Mark Suciu’s journey through lesser-known Bronx spots.

Time On Our Hands is a full-length New York video from Abi Teixeira featuring many familiar faces, great make-you-wanna-skate-with-your-friends vibes, and some good tunes. Decent bit of Brianna Delaney footage, too :)

Krooked’s “Don’t Stop Featuring Una Farrar” dropped just as the Thrasher staff clocked out of the office last Friday. Basically an Una part + cameos from the rest of the team, Frank Gerwer bringing tre shuvs back, and the first official bits of Andrew Wilson footy in a Krooked project :)

Tried To Tell Them It Was Boot Season

Listen to the soothing sounds of Nick Boserio’s voice — like light rain on a windowpane or cascading waves — for over an hour on the latest episode of The Bunt. Bar-none one of the best people you could have on a skate trip ❤️

This is really sick of The LA Times to do: The Oral History of the Hollywood High 16, with stories from many of the names most closely associated with the spot. (#lol at the visible QS sticker on the headline photo.) Can’t wait for The New York Times to do the oral history of the Courthouse Drop.

Our buddy Max Hull uploaded “I’M HERE,” his short submitted to the New York Bicycle Film Festival, onto his YouTube. Not skate-related obvs, but a very simple yet beautiful story :) “We outside, not inside.”

“‘If I was looking defeated, I would have been finishing rehab at the physical therapy place at Moda Center,’ says Boserio. ‘I looked at that drop-in twice a week for like nine months while I recovered from ACL surgery — thinking about how I should do it.'” Al Brown unlocks memories and recounts the joys of seeing skateboarding out in the wild before it makes its way into a video, via the prism of the Polar team filming in Portland for their past two videos.

ICYMI: Cyrus, Max, Karim + the rest of the Limosine team hit Oregon and Washington state, and brought back this edit + photo feature for Thrasher.

Five Favorite Parts With Nick Boserio

Headline Photo by Hjalte Halberg
Intro + Interview by Farran Golding

We’ve previously discussed how the familiarity with a skateboarder’s output can create an “Oh yeah, I see it”-bias before conducting a “Five Favorite Parts” interview.

Nick Boserio didn’t fall into this archetype, but surprisingly, none of his chosen video parts offered much indication as to where his frantic, Indiana-Jones-escaping-a-boulder approach to skateboarding might have taken root. Maintaining that mystery feels about right for someone who appreciates skateboarding that has a “rare” feel to it.

#TRENDWATCH2022: Getting Messy

Consensus in the skateboard world is a rare and fleeting thing.

But for a sweet moment in time there, we agreed on a few things.

For example: if a ledge is on fire, it is not the best place to administer a switch crook. Or that a pond of toxic sludge is not the ideal place to roll away from an ollie.

But even those onetime uncontroversial viewpoints have been shaken in recent months; the lessons from those two beautiful idiots with the gas can have — shockingly — been learned.
