Destroyed skater jeans. Pre-order now. $1,290. And here we were fretting about having raised the price of QS tees by $2 ☺️

“Forced into the wilderness for years first by cords, then by Dickies, Carharts and assorted chinos, jeans now are the stuff of kingdom-making and eternal glory.” And on that very same note, Boil the Oceans offers some analysis on how jeans have climbed to become the north star of the skateboard industry.

Leo Heinert + crew blitzed Black Hubba and threw a big contest on it a week ago. Flipping into a crook on that thing is nuts.

Streetsweepers

It’s wild that this thing reached a level of being skated-enough to where the city actually went out of their way to knob the ledge. This photo certainly does the spot the most justice out of all the coverage you’ve seen on it • 📸 Mike Heikkila on the photo, Thomas Dritsas on the board.

Enjoyed “Whistle” a lot — a Washington D.C. video by Eddie Gutierrez that at once feels nostalgic while firmly of the moment. A lot of unfamiliar faces to those outside the D.C. scene, though it’s hard not to wish you knew who some of them were (to the chagrin of the position that homie videos should have titles.) Skate Jawn has an interview with Eddie about the video’s creation as well.

Village Psychic has a part-by-part deep-dive of what it would take to make a sustainable skateboard.

9 hugs, 41 blunts, and 54 slams — 4Ply Mag went ahead and crunched the numbers on Shake Junt’s new video, Shrimp Blunt.

A half hour of Tyshawn loosies!

Best Bloody in Brickell

Added Thrasher‘s “The Union Square Video” — from San Francisco’s Union Square, naturally — to the Quartersnacks One-Spot Part Map, which turns one this coming July! We started out with 46 parts filmed exclusively at one spot, and have quickly worked our way to two shy of 80, with at least one on every continent except Antarctica 🥶 Wonder what it’d take to film a video exclusively at New York’s Union Square though (slated to be renovated soon, too.)

Be sure to stop by and support Skate Like A Girl’s 4th annual “Get On Board” silent auction fundraiser.

Anybody who has pulled up to the Kosciuszko Bridge spot (the new home of all the Blue Park obstacles) has asked, “Wait… is this a skatepark or..?” Jenkem got the full backstory on how it got built and why it differs from other skateparks in New York. Still didn’t answer why they used round coping 😡

Like A Farmer

What in the wide wide world of sports is a “Training Field?!” Ummm hellooooo, it’s a F A C I L I T Y. There’s a quick feature on the making of the Palace Calvin Klein collab up on GQ. If you want some more Willem Dafoe New York content, highly recommend you watch Light Sleeper from 1992, assuming you’re ok with your movies being more ~vibes~ than plot. Written/directed by Paul Schrader (dude who wrote Taxi Driver obvs), and Susan Sarandon is hot af in it (lol) 🥵

Switch flip goals via Jessyka Bailey’s part in There’s Ruining Skateboarding video, which went up on Thrasher late last week.

Sometimes the skate gods smile down upon you, and you and some friends get a lot of time at Forbidden Banks. SOMETIMES. All that and more in Misc Moments #4 from Marcello, Nabi, Caleb, and the Canal boys.

Must Believe in Spring

DREWWWWWWWWW. Photo by Max Hull.

Young legend Marcello Campanello is the latest to be profiled on Pocket‘s “Followed” series for a Queens x Tompkins day. Some of the crispest flip tricks in the business; that warm-up over the grate is crazy. That restaurant they hit at the end looks fire too 🔥

ICYMI: Darren Harper’s “Out There” is a must-watch, and a literal representation of the “skateboarding saved my life” axiom that we hear so much. And it is right on time given the uncertain future that Pulaski Park is facing. Some of those archive tricks they run back are still so nuts 🤯

Vega alert 🚨 Buggy Alert 🚨 J.P. Blair went to Spain with the Bronze boys. Sweeter than sangria out a box.

Nine minutes of Elijah Odom loosies!!!
