We all agree that conversations about Instagram are an egregious insult to our short time on earth. Yet, we cannot help ourselves. How do we crack the algorithm? How do we attain #maximum #exposure? How do we make a million dollars doing not that much, or at least get a follow-back from @emrata to give us a reason for getting up in the morning?

Area Code is a new full-length video out of The Bronx by Edgar Padilla. Features an opener from Angel Fonseca, and an ender part from Olu Stanley. And like any video out of The Bronx, it feels refreshingly different than the Tompkins-Mural Ledge-Pyramids Ledges-whatever circuit we find ourselves in on a typical #content hunt.
In the first two-thirds of “Year of the Rat,” the new Max Palmer part that just dropped on Free, we find him traveling the world: Mexico, Colombia, L.A. (Australia?) While much of skate travel can be reduced to a check-list of a city’s most famous spots, it has already been observed on the pages of this website that Max Palmer does not skate “spots.” He skates things.

It’s no stretch to say that the second 917 video was a bit more, um, serious than their first outing. As an unofficial antidote to the fact that there was no Aidan part to start the mood light and no Na-kel rapping over Alex Olson footage this time around, Sean Dahlberg put together this eight-minute montage of outtakes from 917 #2. (We got more Genny footy the second time around though, so it’s win-win.)
