This past Saturday, Fucking Awesome and Vans sponsored a few new obstacles (designed by A.V.E. + built by Kevin Graver) and threw a junk jam at Tompkins with Father Bop handing out cash for tricks until it ran out. Greg Navarro put together the recap. Filmed by Greg and Jonathan Flechas. Top photo by Greg.

Majorca For Nothing in Print
Travel writing around here has been sparse since the pandemic, but our friends at Free Skate Mag posted up the full trip article + Alex Pires’ photos from our Majorca excursion on their website. (It appeared in the most recent print issue.)
This one was special because it was the first time many of us had traveled outside the U.S. since the before time, and we were blessed with the fact that it didn’t rain the entire trip, nobody got injured, we barely got kicked out of any spots, and the craziest trick of the entire trip (Nick’s 5050 on the blue wave spot, which we actually did keep getting kicked out of) was at the last stop of the last day.

Came To Majorca For Nothing
Man, 8:15 might be long for a trip edit in our era of torched attention spans — but, hear me out — the majority of the crew from the Sicily trip spent the past two years cooped up stateside. And, AND, AND — the first time we made it out to Europe, Majorca was kind enough to bless us with no rain for ten days straight… we came back with a fuckin’ 30+ minute raw timeline 😲
Also, Justin and Nick went pro since that last trip, and pros stack 😈
Some of that 30+ minutes is chilling with horses, some of it was goofing around in an out-of-season water park, and all of it was at spots that Brady had been to throughout his ten times (seriously, ten) of visiting Majorca since the Blueprint days. Wrote a more extensive thing about it in the current issue of Free, which they’ll put online eventually ;)
Features Nick Michel, Justin Henry, Etienne Gagne, Diego Todd, Ben Blundell and Danny Brady. Supported by Vans.
Filmed by Johnathan Flechas and Emilio Cuilan. Edited by Emilio Cuilan.
The Dustin Henry ‘Nice To See You’ Remix by Crazy T
It should come as no surprise that Dustin Henry — who has swept “Skater You Are Most O.K. With Dating Your Daughter” accolades at the QS awards for seven years in a row — had our favorite section in Vans’ globetrotting, multi-editor endeavor, Nice To See You. A month after every single person we know shared his perfectly balanced kickflip front nosegrind around the curve might seem a bit early to remind everyone how much that part fucking ruled, but it’s never too early to have Crazy T remix it with some Third Eye Blind ♥

Making this only sucked when we took it seriously. I mean, I guess we took it as seriously as the devices, times, and quality of filmer called for. We were in New York, it was shitty out, and the best thing to do in the winter here is hang out in warm dark bars with the windows all foggy.
We couldn’t do that.
We hung out in some social distance huts a couple times. Don’t know if you’ve had the chance to eat a tuna melt with a knife and fork inside of a fort / snowbank with mittens on and numb toes in the dark at 4:45 in the afternoon — but it sucks ass. Our routine was drive around and skate horseshit when there wasn’t snow on the ground. Then, we’d usually get takeout, and eat it in the car, then sit in the parked car drinking beer for sometimes really long times.
