The first year of the QS Cup Presented by Vans went down in Greenpoint, Brooklyn — just steps away from the onetime home of the world famous Autumn Bowl. Sixteen of the world’s best skaters were paired in an eight-race bracket, racing each other around our specially engineered pump track until only one skater was left standing with the trophy.

Leo Heinert’s Blitz Jam series hosted an impromptu skate jam at Flushing last week, and a bunch of wild shit went down. Really sick seeing people huck down the six, which feels like it hasn’t seen a ton of action since they renovated it over COVID. Brandon has got to go back for that 360 flip — that was wild.
Hypebeast paid a visit to Carpet Company HQ in Baltimore, and came back with a video exploring the two brothers’ creative and production process.
Soo Saxton is back with Gabe Shah for another six minute part filmed entirely in New York. You can feel the cold through the screen in some of those clips.

Krooked’s “Don’t Stop Featuring Una Farrar” dropped just as the Thrasher staff clocked out of the office last Friday. Basically an Una part + cameos from the rest of the team, Frank Gerwer bringing tre shuvs back, and the first official bits of Andrew Wilson footy in a Krooked project :)
Just like that, the final remaining of the “Big 3” east coast skate plazas is in jeopardy of being lost to re-design. (We all know the Love one turned out great 🤮) Please sign the petition to help save Freedom Plaza A.K.A. Pulaski Park from reconstruction.
You don’t need to be one of the sentimental-about-skating types to get emotional watching Revolutions on Granite, the documentary that Thrasher premiered late last week about the central spot in Kiev and Ukrainian skate scene — which was made before the Russian invasion, but obviously takes on new significance and urgency now. In our second and final installment of videos released in conjunction with Mess‘ first issue, we have a part from cover star, Una Farrar. “Goodnews” was largely filmed on a trip to Australia, edited by Una, and named in tribute to her hometown skateshop in Victoria, British Columbia. It is also her first full part since the release of Shari’s Credits video back in 2020.
