Tao Ström dropped a new Julius Rohrberg part for Hjalte Halberg and Anton Juul’s brand, Dancer. Lots of creative approaches to classic Copenhagen spots, in addition to some new ones. Includes cameos from Hjlate, Ville et al. That ender is some real galaxy brain shit. Also spotted a vintage QS tee ;)

Daniel Wheatley posted up the trailer for his upcoming video, Blanket. Tom Knox! Charlie Birch! Nick Michael! Josh Pall! And Mingus Gamble has to be one of the greatest skate names of all time.

As a more grassroots sidebar to “Real Street,” the X-Games is [are?] hosting a bracketed video competition between local shop crews. The first bracket match-up is Baltimore’s Vu Skateshop v.s. Boston’s Orchard Skateshop.

It’s Like Zero Bond, But With A Mini Ramp

HARD DRIVE is a New Haven, Connecticut scene video from the younger generation gyrating around Plush Skateshop. We have a soft spot for CT videos on here in general, but this one is very special. It makes a small(ish) city like New Haven feel like a big city scene and a small town all at once, full of night footage and the sort of third-eye-open spots you find when traversing the same hometown back lots over and over. No names, no info, but it rules. Last dude rips.

“Most Wanted” is the latest bi-coastal edit from Crazy Ass Paterson Skaters. Ross’ kickflip front 5050 was 10/10.

The O.G. Tompkins bench is at the Star Team Shop.

“BARRIO” is a new, all-Bronx edit from the Hunny Dip NYC crew. Kickflip back tail on one of those planter rails is a wild thing to try 💪

Safest Place in the World

We made this tee in the nascent days of QS merch, commemorating the 2003 blackout, which happened exactly 20 years ago, today. That August 14th, everyone was packed inside Tompkins for one of those classic T.F. sessions where it felt like everyone who mattered was within that fence. It took us about an hour or so to realize the power had gone out. Only two years removed from 9/11, everybody’s mind raced to the worst hypothetical conclusions imaginable. To ease everyone’s anxiety, Billy Rohan reminded us that “Tompkins is actually the safest place in the world right now.” He was right.

Devin Sweat has a name tailor-made for R&B stardom. But instead of singing loverman ballads and waiting for a Drake feature, he has a really sick new part for Labor filmed entirely in New York. Love the elusive City College benches clip.

The brains at Always Do What You Should Do collaborated with Noah on some gear, and released a New York trip edit / Three Up Three Down pilgrimage to celebrate the capsule.
