‘Let’s Film A Montage’

No way there is a single person who checks this website and hasn’t seen the Tyshawn part yet, correct? Photo above by Dan Zaslavsky 📷

“Trust me, I tried to shoot it without getting down there.” New York magazine’s real-estate publication, Curbed, interviewed Atiba for a feature about Tyshawn’s Thrasher cover kickflip. (Though, based on some more precise intel, the gap definitely seems to be more than nine feet as outlined in the above article.)

Cooper Winterson’s new video, The Sex Emo Promo is half filmed around the vicinity of Cadman Plaza, and includes appearances from Nelly Morville, Evan Wasser, and a bunch more.

Speaking of Wasser, him and Nick Michel’s Frog for Thunder Trucks part by Daniel Dent is beautiful.

Somewhere, Somehow, Somebody Is Chilling

Fred & Paul • 📷 by Jersey Dave

The curved median ledge on Canal, just one block east of the Hudson River, has been one of those “why is this waxed?” mysteries for years. Everyone had always assumed BMXers or rollerbladers, and while that may have been the case for past years, Zak Anders (from RESPECTFULLY) lipslid it in his new “COW BOY” part, putting the first known skate footage of it to record. Appropriate that it would be across the street from what is still one of the most fucked New York clips that Brandon Westgate ever logged.

Peak-era Brian Brown was truly a magic talent on a skateboard. Joe Cups dropped an extended footy tape of his from 2004, a lot of which was in Vicious Cycle, but a lot of which wasn’t 😉 (The reigning S.O.T.Y. cited that part as one of his reasons for wanting to move out east…)

Came To Majorca For Nothing

Man, 8:15 might be long for a trip edit in our era of torched attention spans — but, hear me out — the majority of the crew from the Sicily trip spent the past two years cooped up stateside. And, AND, AND — the first time we made it out to Europe, Majorca was kind enough to bless us with no rain for ten days straight… we came back with a fuckin’ 30+ minute raw timeline 😲

Also, Justin and Nick went pro since that last trip, and pros stack 😈

Some of that 30+ minutes is chilling with horses, some of it was goofing around in an out-of-season water park, and all of it was at spots that Brady had been to throughout his ten times (seriously, ten) of visiting Majorca since the Blueprint days. Wrote a more extensive thing about it in the current issue of Free, which they’ll put online eventually ;)

Features Nick Michel, Justin Henry, Etienne Gagne, Diego Todd, Ben Blundell and Danny Brady. Supported by Vans.

Filmed by Johnathan Flechas and Emilio Cuilan. Edited by Emilio Cuilan.
