Harvest Time

If you have the means, please donate to this GoFundMe for Tristan Mershon, Nate Grzechowiak and Josh Paynter, whose Bushwick apartment and possessions were lost to a house fire two weeks ago.

There’s no way you haven’t seen the new Bronze video yet, right?

There’s def an official Thrasher edit incoming, but Zubr ripped and combined everyone’s IG stories of Tyshawn’s Can Jam at Blue Park this past Saturday into a single video. Shout out to the legend who continues to show up to all the skate events and films with his laptop.

Somewhere, Somehow, Somebody Is Chilling

Fred & Paul • 📷 by Jersey Dave

The curved median ledge on Canal, just one block east of the Hudson River, has been one of those “why is this waxed?” mysteries for years. Everyone had always assumed BMXers or rollerbladers, and while that may have been the case for past years, Zak Anders (from RESPECTFULLY) lipslid it in his new “COW BOY” part, putting the first known skate footage of it to record. Appropriate that it would be across the street from what is still one of the most fucked New York clips that Brandon Westgate ever logged.

Peak-era Brian Brown was truly a magic talent on a skateboard. Joe Cups dropped an extended footy tape of his from 2004, a lot of which was in Vicious Cycle, but a lot of which wasn’t 😉 (The reigning S.O.T.Y. cited that part as one of his reasons for wanting to move out east…)

Best Piña Colada in Newark

The game of S.K.A.T.E. everybody has been waiting for. Nah, it’s not B.A.T.B. — it’s Turtle v.s. Rohan via Masterplan.

Beloved by few, hated by more, tolerated by the majority. The Corlears Hook Pedestrian Bridge — better known to us as the home of Alligator Ledge — was just demolished last week, following suit with the East River Park Amphitheater. Pretty sure that the last sighting of it in footage was Trung Nguyen’s section in Melodi’s “Sparks” video. Tough break for the same week they started knobbing city curbs.

Add sugarcanes on curbs to the #trendwatch.

Joe Cups uploaded a snapshot of skateboarding in New York in 1999: the original BAM, the World Trade manny pad, the mini Banks rail, trips to Casino Skatepark, and obvs Andre Page.

That’s Tory Lanez Cousin!

Could not stop watching this video. Nah, it’s not a skate clip.

Ville has been more than few friends’ favorite skater for a minute now. This 20-minute compilation of loosies should be what you watch if you’re going skating today ❤️

Somebody compiled a half-hour of Instagram clips from all the Bronze dudes.

The New Orleans section from last year’s Skate Jawn video is a lot of fun.

Thankful For Jersey Dave

For a few years, Thanksgiving edits commemorating under-sung heroes dear to our hearts were becoming a habit around here.

In 2016, we were thankful for Keith.

In 2017, we were thankful for John.

In 2018, we thanked Barnes for his contributions to society.

In 2019, we were ungrateful fucks.

Maybe it was the rigors of running a multinational skateboard media conglomerate. Maybe it was the crushing, psychic anxiety that the world was bound to unravel in a few months.
