It has been a little over a month since a city-approved granite ledge was dropped off at Tompkins. This is, by all objective measures, the most perfect Tompkins obstacle in the history of skateboarding at Tompkins. The marble delivery guy said it weighed 8,000 pounds. A Great Use Of Your Time — EC Melodi’s “Wasting Time” Video

EC Melodi, the half-New York / half-Atlanta outfit that originally started putting out routine full-lengths back in 2019, was always good for at least one sizable project a year. Then, a hiatus began after Break Your Legs over two years ago — even if the secondhand pain of that boardslide sack on the bench remained seared into the imagination (see #16.)

“the POSE video” is a new project by Cooper Vosburg, the architect behind 2023’s “Can’t Have Shit,” and eminent videographer of all things concerning the current generation coming up out of Detroit, one of the most interesting stateside scenes going right now.
