Really confused with what’s going on over at the Girl camp… Guy and Koston leave after 20+ years, and in the same week, we find out that Forrest Edwards got dropped from Zero — yet there hasn’t been a single sighting of Forrest’s face with the word “welcome” under it on the Crailtap Instagram. Anyone know what gives?

Gonna have to agree with Kalis on this one. This guy is insane. 2015 Q.S.S.O.T.Y. frontrunner. No clue why he didn’t skate to “Stick Talk” though.

“I honestly get wet. I could listen to him ramble on about skateboarding for hours.” Apparently chicks dig us because we don’t care about them — or just care about skating with the squad way more than chasing girls and that’s hot? (And maybe because we steal from them?) However, pretty sure no skateboarder or human has ever turned down sex in order to listen to The Weeknd unfettered. 56 Nights? Maybe.

Those pipes on the eastern side of Trendy Triangle were appropriately #trending heavy this past weekend. Pretty sure they won’t be there tomorrow. Pipe it up while you can.

Shocked to see that the new Staten Island skatepark has straight, normal ledges. NY Skateboarding takes a look at Faber Park. Looks like Astoria but with more hubbas.

Didn’t know bearing companies really go on “tour” — Bones Swiss has a new Euro tour vid out with a bunch of really good B. Worrest footage. Sorta miss the era when you could still put a really long manual in a video :(

This has been online for eight years, but saw it reposted a bit on Tumblr: raw footage of Anthony Correa from 1997. Mostly Houston and S.F. stuff. Wish there was more footage of the dude out there (or at least a version of his Mixtape 2 part that didn’t feature a rapper who actually said “my crew packed full of nuts like an Almond Joy.”) Also, that back smith on the Seaport bench in the first Static video is still reigning atop the smith grind hall of fame nearly twenty years later.

Not sure which “Summer Trip to New York” cycle this should even count for…it came out in 2015 but was seemingly filmed in 2014. Anyway, some Australians who really love helicopter shots skate around New York for a bit. The kickflip up / turn around / switch flip down line at Columbus Park is awesome.

Russians produce bleaker skate footage than even the Brits. They love tracksuits too.

Always surprised to remember that Riverside Skatepark still exists.

Happy to hear the lease at House of Vans was renewed. Place was a real lifesaver these past few winters when you just want to listen to Drake and skate with the boys.

There are the Boil the Ocean posts that I sorta get, and then there are the ones that I sorta don’t. The new one is in the latter category.

Ishod Wair continues to makes amends with skateboard fans everywhere for not filming more lines in his Real part. His new Four Star part is practically all Philly lines for four straight minutes. And to think he still has another part due out this year.

Washington Heights is about to be home to the largest skatepark in New York. If you have an Instagram account, you’ve likely seen photos of it via friends who have snuck in. Oh, and the Daily News article about it is without question worse than the most cringe-inducing thing the Times has written about skateboarding over the years. “The park, which will be ready by the fall…to give local sk8terboys something to do beyond annoying their neighbors.” Fuck off. (Yes, a hundred-year-old newspaper printed the word “sk8terboys.”)

Derm (who is responsible for one of the better NY/NJ parts of the year) spent the summer in Portland and came back with this mini part for Politic.

The Fancy Lad crew just shattered the record for most insane spot selection in a “Summer Trip to New York” montage with their latest clip. Even Daewon might turn down the opportunity to skate a bunch of cardboard boxes wrapped in twine…

Better nine months late than never, right?

Below is a tribute to one of the few true personalities in modern, Everyone-Is-Good 2.0 skateboarding. Forrest is such a character that he singlehandedly rendered the One in a Million formula obsolete, as evidenced by the 2012 follow-up overextending itself in trying to compensate for his absence. If you have a skate company, you should probably turn this guy AM, mail him a check, and send him on a few trips. Here’s to Forrest making it out the struggle.

The footage in the edit is sourced from the Thrasher “Unhinged” part, the Crooks 2011 clip, Slap‘s “Dirty 30” segment, and the Wild Power video. You already know where the soundbytes are from. No varials included, which as you may know, is “the gayest go-to trick.”
