The New Full-Length From Nike SB — Will Miles’ ‘7 Ball’ Is Live

7 Ball is the latest full-length from Nike SB and U.K. videographer, Will Miles. It feels like a continuation of the best bits from the Jacob Harris-helmed Trust Fall that dropped back in 2019, grouping the best-fitting riders from the colossus that is the 2023 SB team into a cohesive project. Everyone here feels like they actually enjoy skating with one another, rather than the “showcase” vibe that often happens when companies try to stuff their entire team into one project — to pretty much the detriment of everything. (The plus side of shorter attention spans today: it’s probably a good thing that we’re past the era of Nothing But The Truth and Away Days.)

Crazy Ass Paterson Skaters posted the recap from their second “Land or Slam” event, where they just mob to street spots throughout Paterson, New Jersey giving out cash + product for tricks. It has the freeform feel of a skate contest from a distant past, just done for the sake of doing it. That tre flip into the kinked bank downtown and the one-foot hill bomb were wild 😮

Chris Jones began to make an impression on the U.K. scene during the mid-to-late-2000s with an appearance in a promo for Crayon Skateboards. Moving to London from Bristol after graduating university (and having met Jacob Harris on a trip while studying), his part in Eleventh Hour – coupled with a place on the upstart Isle team — positioned Chris as one in a new generation of household names for British skateboarding alongside Harris and his co-star, Tom Knox. Vase came two years later, bringing wide acclaim for all involved, which Chris doubled down on via Colin Read’s Spirit Quest before properly wading into international waters with “Atlantic Drift” crew.

Struggling to narrow down twenty years of video consumption into five, Chris opted to hone in on a handful from his formative years growing up in the small Welsh village of Coychurch.

The latest installment is with Rodney Torres and is loaded with nineties New York nostalgia and stories, e.g it pretty much mentions three decades worth of skate shops in the city, and harks back to a time when New York coverage was limited to a montage here and there every couple years in a bigger video. (Also #lol on this YouTube comment.)

The youth has good tre flips. “Practice” is a very rad homie video by Cesar Fuentes featuring a bunch of up and coming skaters from The Bronx.
