O is the latest in Texas skateboard technology being unleashed on New York skate spots by Late Nite Stars and Chase Walker. While STILL felt like more of a party video with a few formal parts waiting at the end, O is all business and confidently carries its nearly 40-minute runtime. Often, when a crew video gets that long its a mixed bag, but not always!

We were out in Argentina last month, and were lucky enough to get shown around by Eze Martinez (Milton’s brother, yes.) He’s got an incredible section in the new Cons Argentina edit. There’s something extra fun in watching siblings who skate at absolute opposite ends of the skate spectrum excel in their respective corners at this high of a level. (No Milton footy in this video though.)
2023 feels like fertile ground for party videos.
What is a party video? Can you just throw in some footage of people doing shots, and 140 BPM your way into party video territory?
Absolutely not.
Like certain things, you know it when you see it. A party video is a good time, yes — but it doesn’t even need party footage! It’s a video where you can feel that the participants didn’t spend months arguing about what song fits best for what part. Friendships were not bent to near breaking points in the video’s creation, and footage was not treated with absolute sanctity, because after all, it’s only footage. You can always get more.
“Fashion Mondaine” earned the title of 2023’s first great party video, and Chase Walker and co’s STILL feels like the next one.
Just shy of the one-year anniversary of RESPECTFULLY, Chase Walker and the boys dropped “Shake It Does It Rainbow.” Though not as heavy on the footage from RESPECTFULLY stars Trung Nguyen and Zak Anders (Zak actually had a solo part drop with Chase two months ago…), but it does include what amounts to probably a parts-worth of footage from Kyler Garrison + a nice Alan Bell midtown cameo. Otherwise, there’s some trips in Paris and Miami, capped off with with what’s probably one of the last ever sessions on the East River Park Amphitheater ride-on ledge.
Summer isn’t over until you kickflip over your crew chilling in a hot tub, yaknow?
