Skateboard Oscars Season

And so, with the December 2022 Thrasher cover, the hyper-speed of Skateboarding’s Oscars Season is officially underway…

“For me, skateboarding in Buffalo, New York really starts in March. We have a long winter, a crapshoot of a spring, a short summer, and a shit fall. Once the snow starts to melt I start driving around checking things out again.” Skate Jawn has the premiere of “Call Your Mother,” the new video by Moms Skateshop out of Buffalo.

Mixtape legend Anthony Correa is the latest guest on The Bunt. (The Bobshirt from 2016 is also a good rewatch.)

Bump To Supply Chain

“I realized so many stories or moments that I’ve lived don’t have photos to accompany them. I wasn’t equipped, equipment-wise or mentally, to decide, ‘This moment is a photo,’ and I need to go out of my way to get it no matter what people think.” The Slam City Skates blog has an interview with French photographer, Benjamin Deberdt, about coming to New York to shoot photos of Keenan, Huf and the Cardona brothers in the nineties. (He shot the above Huf photo.)

Added Vu Skateshop’s “Lyric” video — filmed entirely at the Lyric Monument in Baltimore — to the QS One-Spot Part Map.

Pushing Against Racism is an initiative launched by the Good Push Alliance along with a dozen other social skateboard organizations to promote a commitment against racism within the skate community and beyond. Skateism also has a full feature about it if you’d like to learn more ♥

DREWWWWWW was on the “Angel & Z” podcast chatting about skating n’ things for an hour.

Ok, this might legitimately be the largest slate of locally-filmed videos to make it on one of these link round-ups in a long time, so let’s get to it…

Units in the City

Summer 2020 QS stuff should be available at most, if not all, U.S. accounts now. Still arriving in Canada + Australia. Japan + Korea been had it. Arriving in Europe early June. Thank you to everyone who grabbed something from the webstore. We’ll be shipping all week, and yes, you will get a shipping confirmation + tracking when your order goes out. There’s still a good bit on there, though a lot of the tees are down to smalls and mediums. So funny how 3-4 years ago, it was XLs that were leftover, but now everyone seems to have sized up. Spread via Orchard.

The city is just installing randomass street hips for us to have fun on now?
