It’s Like Zero Bond, But With A Mini Ramp

HARD DRIVE is a New Haven, Connecticut scene video from the younger generation gyrating around Plush Skateshop. We have a soft spot for CT videos on here in general, but this one is very special. It makes a small(ish) city like New Haven feel like a big city scene and a small town all at once, full of night footage and the sort of third-eye-open spots you find when traversing the same hometown back lots over and over. No names, no info, but it rules. Last dude rips.

Most Wanted” is the latest bi-coastal edit from Crazy Ass Paterson Skaters. Ross’ kickflip front 5050 was 10/10.

The O.G. Tompkins bench is at the Star Team Shop.

BARRIO” is a new, all-Bronx edit from the Hunny Dip NYC crew. Kickflip back tail on one of those planter rails is a wild thing to try 💪

Skaters Set Eyes on Hell-like Planet That Rains Lava at Night

Photo via @whatisnewyork

Rest in Peace, New York City payphones ❤️

Why go to Greece like all the other skate crews, when you can go to a hell-like planet that rains lava in the night footy? (Nah, jk – Greece is pretty dope.)

We’re up to 80 spots! Just added Dustin Eggeling’s “Reggaeton” part for Village Psychic (as in…the ledges, not the music genre) to the QS One-Spot Part Map. Includes guest tricks from Kyler Garrison, Brian Scherer + Keith Denley.

Frankie Decker talks Vegas, late shuvs, and the “Evan Frankie” ender in his new interview for Heckride. (Does anyone remember what edit the backside flip down the Canal and Division set at the Manhattan Bridge is?)

Procrastination Olympics

Boil the Ocean’s piece on Revolutions on Granite — the Ukrainian skate scene documentary that went live on Thrasher earlier this month — sums up the power of those 40 minutes in a way that every skateboard writer wishes they could.

Fake puke is expensive. Pryce gave a bunch of the backstories behind a lot of the best Alltimers boards for Solo Skate Mag. Yes, he met Marisa Tomei after they did that cruiser. Yes, she was hyped on it. Like the old proverb goes: “Nobody has a crush on anybody the way men born in the 80s have a crush on Marisa Tomei.”

Shopping carts and bicycle wheels are the new skatestopper. Hosea Peters has a new part entirely filmed in New York.

Throw some old King Louie shit on and watch these 15 minutes of Louie Lopez loosies.

Last Tango In Tompkins

Anyone got the story or any info on this photo? Just a random Tumblr find.

It was a SLOW Monday morning of skateboard link data collection (there has yet to be any coherent #longform reflection on “BLESSED” to peruse), but then T.J. nollie flipped — actually, maybe just watch the part…”KILLER” is a full Tyshawn part filmed exclusively at T.F. West.

Office favorite, Krazy Frankie, has a new part out for Frog today, with guest tricks from the rest of the team and one of the best half cab flips in the biz ;)

Someone went and put together a remix video of French steez lord, Stephane Larance. It’s reassuring that we’re not the only mega nerds spending precious hours on earth making remix videos of skaters mostly known from early-2000s European wheel company videos.

It has been a truly remarkable year for Upstate New York videos. “Nonsense” is a new one from Taryn Ward, with some of the same guys that you’ll recognize from April’s “Steel” video.

Old man yells at cloud the Instagram “Explore” page (jk, jk…kind of) — Village Psychic interviewed Marc Johnson about what constitutes as a circus trick today.

New Brad Cromer Instagram compilation, with a good bit of New York clips.

Here’s Tyler Stier’s part from the Buffalo, N.Y-based Jeb video, which looks like it’s filmed in every place on the eastern seaboard between Buffalo and Miami.

On the slim chance that you missed it, T-Funk became the second person to successfully make it down the T.J. / “cherry” rail at One Police Plaza, and we’re here for any and all participants in a Yorkian backside 180 nosegrind resurgence.

After shading him on Friday, I happened to stumble upon this clip of this elusive “Clay Kreiner” and it’s actually pretty beast.

NJ Skateshop is throwing a contest at the Jersey City rink spot this Sunday, December 2.

QS Sports Desk Play of the Week: Young talent Jamal Crawford has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA.

Quote of the Week
E.J: “Damn, you know who’s back?”
Inquisitive Gentleman: “Who?”
E.J:Sierra Fellers.”

Happy birthday Pryce Holmes! ♥

Hjalte Halberg For Frog Skateboards!

[A.K.A. The third post in which we try to squeeze water out of a rock by making it about The Triangle™ because this clip has the last footage ever filmed on it.]

Faced with the truth that Pontus Alv is in great cardiovascular health, Hjalte Halberg did the next best thing to sending Frog his coveted sponsor-me tape: he endorsed a Frog guest board. And so, in an age where prominent leadership positions in the free world start out as jokes, we begin a fruitful journey by which Frog gradually absorbs the Danish athlete and 2014 Q.S.S.O.T.Y. Max Palmer into its official roster.

The clip of Hjalte’s New York trip is the only thing Pryce was looking forward to more than Swaecation. Filmed during the most productive two weeks of autumn 2k17. Can’t wait for Franco’s pro board. Guest tricks from Max Palmer, Aaron Loreth, Andrew Wilson, Genny, Vert God, Franco, Jawn Gardner, etc.

Edited by Jason Byoun. Board and new stuff available over on the Frog site.
