Of all the wrestling-ass malarkey that we trick ourselves into doing, anticipating the footage of tricks on magazine covers — especially Thrasher covers — occupies a special place. Like, we watch the video mentally ignoring the fact we don’t already know what the ender is going to be. Louie Lopez alluded to it in his Village Psychic thing where he made clear his attempt to ensure the cover trick wasn’t the ender, but alas, it was.

The fact the Polish Park planter-side ledges have endured for so long despite having three-feet of landing space is reason enough to never give up on your dreams ❤️

“Drew x Everson” is a 14-minute video filmed exclusively at the Everson Museum of Art (the centerpiece of the scene in Syracuse, New York), and put together as a tribute to Drew Grabowski, who passed earlier this year. Drew’s family and friends created the nonprofit Skate 4 Drew to help build the Syracuse skate scene in Drew’s memory, which you can donate to here.

“This skateboard rivalry is getting downright gnarly.” Pretty sure everybody agreed to move on from the A.V.E. bench’s relocation from New York to Philly after a string of memes last week, but then… the New York Post decided it was newsworthy, right down to quotes from A.V.E. and Harry Bergenfield. Didn’t have that one on the 2022 bingo board, that’s for sure…

Even before jumping on the “Five Favorite Parts” call, it’s tempting to draw connections between an interviewee’s list of inspirations and their most recent body of work.
Such was the case here, in (possibly) our most contemporary part-forward installment.
