Beyond their oh-so-2000’s shop name [abbreviation for “Soo Hot Right Now”] and them being one of the first stores in Germany to carry QS gear, we’ve always felt like kindred spirits with Munich’s finest shop. We’re both descendants of what scholars call “The Blog Era,” during which we synthesized the conversations of our wider skater social circle — centered around skateboarding but also touched on life, sports, partying etc. — and created an online publication out of it. In the time since, SHRN parlayed their weblog into a physical store; we became the thriving newsroom that you see before you today.
But time moves on, your social circle evolves, and your conversations become a bit tamer without the seasoning provided by the party habits of youth. What was soo hot right now becomes soo hot back then. The natural evolution becomes ceding the reigns to those more in the streets than you, which brings us to the subject at hand today…
The only way to stay HRN is with an eye towards the future. (Nothing less hot than the curmudgeon on the bench unwilling to let go off the past.) “HYPERBOLIC” is a SHRN crew edit by Julian Lopez, showcasing the brightest eyes of Munich’s scene in 2025 — some twenty-plus years since the initial blog that preceded the shop.
The video features Leon Charo-Tite, Fiona Wessely, Daniel Ledermann, Anton Wessely, Jakob Fendt, Valentin Erlmeier, Julian Geißinger, Ben Rappel, Manu Wolf, Julian Kilg & Joscha Aicher.
Filmed by Julian Lopez, Julian Kilg, Elias Peter, Elia Lang & Joscha Aicher.
SHRN = einer der besten Shops since forever. Shout outs nach München, aber warum sehen die alle so frisiert und platzreif aus wie die U21-Dudes vom Fußballkader? ;)
