We did an end of the year inventory over at the warehouse, and turned up some loosies of things we had marked as sold out. Check the webstore in case you missed out on something from the last release. It’s not a restock, e.g. maybe we found quite literally two larges of a tee and threw them back online. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Thank you everyone for all the support throughout the year.

The largest tall tee Wade Desarmo ever wore was a 5XL. That and an examination of why so few objectively superior skateboarders make it out of Canada in his interview with a competing podcast. Even if you’re not a “Nine Club” guy, this one was great.

As far as our *favorite* skate podcast goes (and the one Wade is currently M.I.A. from because nobody is “in the streets” in Toronto…), The Bunt’s latest is with Stefan Janoski. Always felt in the minority of preferring his Inhabitants part over Mosaic, but good to to know it’s his fave too ;)

More podcasts?! You may remember a simpler time back in 2012 — before the world began to implode — when our biggest concern was a man named Louis Sarowsky forever ruining the act of skateboarding via a Mountain Dew-sponsored reality show…He has a new interview over on “Max White Presents.”

The angel who put together the Jesus remix from last weeks’ links rounded up all of Mike Carroll’s B-sides since Pretty Sweet and edited a four-minute part with some garnishes from the past. Rick Howard next or are those too few and far between?

Between the Kevin Taylor part from a month ago and Mike Maldonado dropping a new one at the age of 41, Frozen in Carbonite’s piece on the Philadelphia Sports Mythos rings truer by the day in skateboarding. Where’s Tony Montgomery at?

Enjoyed this piece on why the death of DVD will haunt consumers. Skateboarding has the benefit of skate shops preserving community — unlike film, which lost its cultural hubs with the death of video stores (R.I.P. Kim’s) — which is all the more of a reminder to give your shop some money today.

Ricard Napoli’s new video, Making It Happen, premieres tonight in Williamsburg at 8.

Had some leftover footage from the past couple trips + a few things that might’ve potentially ended up in the now [probably?] defunct QS Drop Offs series. Threw this # feel good # clip together :) It’s a spring-themed fall video, and though it has summer footage from foreign counties, we limited it to places where the summer feels like it does in the city right now (66 today!) Heard a new skatepark that took thirty years to complete just opened up, maybe see you guys over there later ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It includes a limited colorway of the Bruin Hyperfeel in chill sandy suede, a longsleeve pocket crewneck with the classic Quartersnacks arch embroidery, and a Lambo wool coach jacket that your girlfriend is probably going to steal from you once she realizes you’re shining harder in ~pink~ than she is.

For the collection, we returned to some of the increasingly seldom-seen spots responsible for this site’s very existence: FedEx, Italian Ledges, C.I.A. Ledge, and cutty corners of midtown only skateable at night. (Yeah, we still got stuck at T.F. West trying to film for this thing once duh.) For the second half, we turned northward, to the bastion of cultural export that has defined American life for the past six years, best known as Canada. Who knows, there might be a wall between us and our Canadian friends within the next four years too, so we had to get it in while we still could.

New One From Supreme, Bill Strobeck and Grant Taylor

“King Puppy” is the latest from Bill Strobeck, the Supreme boys and Grant Taylor, released in anticipation of the new GT Blazer they have dropping tomorrow. Highlights include a brief unofficial sequel to the Bronx bank-to-ledge session from “cherry,” switch street grabs, and Vincent Touzery displaying the finest bit of same-but-different line choreography (this website’s favorite brand of lines, tbh) since Danny Brady’s back 180 5-0 180 / back 180 5-0 shuv line at Republiqué.

BUT, the best part is Grant’s hypnotic section on the Supreme L.A. bowl. Making a three-minute section on a shop ramp look interesting isn’t the easiest thing in the world. More often than not, anybody who doesn’t know the people in front of the lens never makes it halfway through your average shop mini ramp clip. Grant annihilates every crevice, ending every line (is “line” accurate transition terminology?) by implanting thoughts of “…wait, what the fuck did he just do, why did it look so simple, and how did that light not break into a zillion pieces?” in your brain.
