“Bills 3 Late Fee” is the new video from Angel Foseca and the crew up in The Bronx. Always a pleasure watching these videos that look and feel way different than so much of the other stuff coming out of the city.
If your heart doesn’t melt watching this… well, I don’t even know — Diego Meek (Dr. Scarecrow, et al.) put together a six-minute mini-doc about Skate After School, a program serving eight low-income elementary schools. “I painted it myself!” If you want a PSA about skateboarding at its purest and absolute best, this is it.
Looks like the solid barrage of upstate New York videos is gonna keep rolling in 2019 (see #5.) The Seasons guys have a new ten-minute video on Thrasher entitled “Albany 2.5” with tons of Empire State Plaza footage, and a mini S.F. section at the end.
Wasn’t really sure what to expect from this upon click, and it thankfully ended up being smiles the whole way through ♥ Here’s a good seven minutes of Fred Gall iPhone footage at some D.I.Y. spot and a bunch of typical New Jersey crust.

Had a bunch of “wait, that spot’s been gone for years” thoughts watching this, and then realized it’s more of a remix than a new part. Either way! Any B.A. is good B.A., and Grant Yansura was nice enough to pull together a bunch of his [mainly New York] footage from SB Chronicles 3 and onward for a new-old “Slappy Seconds” edit, which includes a handful of unseen clips.
Not a lot of content like this going live on the skateboard internet in the age of Instagram Stories: the Village Psychic dudes drove from Minnesota to Memphis to escape the cold and did a long[ish]form blog post with photos about their journey.

Rodney by Reda, behind Pyramid Ledges from the June 1998 TWS via Ted Newsome’s “New York Minute” spreads. This spot would be extra contemporary today had it not been knobbed for ~two decades.

Here’s a gentle reminder to worry a bit less about ascending in skateboarding’s paid elite this year, and to save some money to travel with your friends to some far-off skate spots and simply have a good time ♥

“Banister” is the new ten-minute mini vid from Gang Corp, to which they already uploaded a a half-hour raw files clip of outtakes and kick-outs.
QS Sports Desk Play of the Week: Porzingis is obviously close (no playoffs…yet, maybe 2025), but Tyson Chandler is still the best Knicks player of the current millennium. Happy to see him up to his old tricks in a warmer climate.

Like any decent funeral, this eulogy is delivered by the immediate family, rather than transient pros, with the locals turning in their last tapes skating Love Park as it was, and a grip of tricks as it is dismantled.” More great video reviews! QS Sports Desk Play of the Week: Thank goodness the NBA is back. Gotta give this one to Wiggins, even though now the only thing the Sports Desk roots for is Russell Westbrook’s happiness and well-being (J.R. too.) Must’ve felt like a postseason-esque loss if you’re an OKC fan.
