Preseason Already

Why the hell is there already a Knicks preseason game tonight? We just won last week…

Naquan Rollings posted up his edit from the L.E.S. Park skate jam dedicated to the memory of Marquis Blondel ❤️

“Cities hire ad agencies to craft entire campaigns to woo tourists. The skate shop video as a genre achieves the same thing powered by a handful of skaters placed somewhere around their late-teens and into their early-20s, a couple of responsible adults, and a steady flow of price-point shop decks.” Ian Browning wrote about the enduring power of skate shop videos for Closer. (Loosely related / ICYMI: A QS piece we did on the enduring power of shop …tees.)

Gabriel Fortunato with two lines @ the Fulton Street Subway stairs. Must be nice.

Fuck This Industry posted up a vlog from their trip through New England to Genuine Risk Lane. Includes Coles Bailey footage, yes.

Please Send Ryuhei Kitazume To All The Ledges

Stick around long enough, and you’ll notice how things happening remind you of things that happened. In Ryuhei Kitazume‘s new part, you might clock the peak-Transworld video style voiceover waxing poetic about the magic of ledges like it’s Kalis talking about Love in ’96, the Y2Kish jump-cut editing reminiscent of The Reason, or the music video that cuts halfway into the part. SID’s August 2021 “Prager” edit was the first Prague video we recall that featured footage in the region from everywhere but Stalin Plaza (besides the ender.)
