#TRENDWATCH2026 x #TFREPORT: Tompkins Tetris

It has been a little over a month since a city-approved granite ledge was dropped off at Tompkins. This is, by all objective measures, the most perfect Tompkins obstacle in the history of skateboarding at Tompkins. The marble delivery guy said it weighed 8,000 pounds. It was rumored to cost roughly what a used 2018 Honda Civic would run you today. Nike SB paid for it; it wasn’t heisted from a quarry by a granite Robin Hood. It is the sort of obstacle we travel and play mind games with security just to land ten to fifteen minutes of bliss with. And it was at Tompkins! It was never leaving! We don’t get kicked out of it!

Skateboarders had, in many ways, won.

That’s Not A Website, Quartersnacks Is A Website

The Eifuku crew out of Japan dropped a New York trip edit, which has the #2 clip from last week’s Top 10 — but a lot of other gems too. That noseslide to boardslide on the barrier at Columbus Circle was wild. Also love it when visitors night skate; they even re-unlocked Times Square half-a-decade past it being a go.

Lots of spots inside empty malls and a fire bit of Hardbody Ross footy at the end in Matty Hilzenrath’s new NJ-scene edit, “Five On Pump Two.” Ross gotta go back for that hardflip. (Also shout out to his frontside flip tweak on the XL Tompkins bump-to-bar.)

Happy Monday — Hardbody’s “HJALTE, ROSS & ANTONIO” Video

If DANY was the origin story, The Hardbody Video was the proof of concept, OD was the ensemble, “NEVER ENUFF III” was compliments of the house, and “INTERLUDE” was …well, the interlude, Hardbody’s latest is the arrival. In the nearly two years since formally announcing a two-pro roster of Hjalte Halberg and Antonio Durao, they’ve been quietly stacking for this not-exactly-full-length, but effectively three-way shared part between the two of them and AM Ross Berkowitz, who might have the most lawyer-sounding / “I’d trust him with my divorce” name in skateboarding.

A journey through Copenhagen that overshoots a pitstop in San Francisco and lands back in Hardbody’s hometown of New York — right down to clips at E.J’s Avenue D childhood stomping grounds — “HJALTE, ROSS & ANTONIO” is what this city and the rest of the world needed to close out this year on a hype.

Who knew Hjalte was also Jamie Foy?

Hardbody’s ‘OD’ Video Is Now Live

A lot of people seemed to have been expecting a Big Brand Video™. After all, this is a company that announced its first two marquee pro riders back in February.

But OD has all the hallmarks of a scene video — a distillation of the eight years since DANY. You have Antonio’s second part this month, yes, but you have also Kevin Tierney opening it, who is a Static alumn that has been a staple in every 2010s Bronze project. You have Brandon Scott James, with his first-ever full-on part after spending so many years pulling up with some of the best shit in Naquan Rollings’ edits, and being the local that any out-of-towner remembers from their visit to L.E.S. Park. You have a Charles Lamb part, a tech stalwart whose credentials date back to Metrospective and E.S.T videos. You have Josh Velez, who has consistently been putting out parts filmed on his off days for ten-plus years. You got a fuckin’ Billy Rohan cameo. You have Byoun …Byoun’ing.
