Just when we were getting worried he stopped going in, perennial QS-office fave and composer of modern times’ finest love song, Rich Homie Quan, dropped a really, really good album last week. (Zillion dollar idea: Lock Quan and Thug in a room, force them to become friends again, give them all the instrumentals from Carti’s new album, boom, world peace.)

QS Sports Desk Play of the Week: Stoked to see John Wall out there leading and thriving more each postseason, galaxies removed from the McGee/Nick Young/Arenas era Wizards, who were admittedly the funniest basketball team of this generation.

The internet has a tendency to desensitize us from having to confront other people’s unfiltered brains and emotions, and unfortunately, that played out a bit on the skate internet last year as Billy Rohan, an incredible person who has done a ton for skateboarding in the city, went through it. Originally was just going to throw this in a drop offs clip, but all the footage made me laugh way too much to just bury it between a bunch of other shit. Filmed one extremely drunk Sunday night back in maybe March, before we started taking any of the pop-up spot stuff around to actual street spots. Shout out to Freddy Gall and Lizard King. I really miss the drunk QS clips man. They haven’t come around much since Marquez stopped being a Fish regular :(

The most unexpected event of 2016 has got to be Fat Joe and Remy Ma legit making a hit twelve years after “Lean Back.” (I still got “Inside the Mattress” on though.) And now, the pressing question of which summer clip will be the first to go…”all the way up” is over ;) The promo for the new HYD video has a bunch of gems in it, including the second most unexpected event of 2016: someone filming a line at the ABC ledges.

Some of this footage appeared in Deathbowl to Downtown and Huf’s Epicly Later’d, but it is the best old footage to resurface probably since “Apple Juice” went online. Huf, Keenan, Liversedge, Bici, etc. circa 1991. Shout out to skate spots.

TWS posted TJ’s full AM spotlight interview and photos.
