We noticed how much real-life connections and childhood viewing habits have informed Five Favorite Parts — with the latter often offering up the left-field selections. Although vert superstardom was not high among the collective youthful aspirations of the QS office, if we ran a vote, then a ledge of any shape or size would undoubtedly emerge as our preferred obstacle of choice. That shared ideal, our sympathy for ledges gone AWOL, and her recent output, make Hayley Wilson an overdue guest here.

Covering Fashion & Pants Became Impossible Once Skaters Began Dressing Like Fashion Icon Tim Duncan

We here at QS HQ are often suggested topics beyond the typical “post my video.” One of the most common suggestions is a story about pants. Lots of suggestions for stories about pants.

We did a big story about pants back in the fall of 2020, when Polar Big Boys and their descendants had a monocultural hold on skateboarders’ legs. One commenter deemed it a watershed moment for QS content. At the time, our collective perception of the pantscycle looked something like this:

Jasper Stieve dropped one of our favorite video parts of 2025 — one full of some of the most impressive two-wheeled maneuvers that have been done in this city, including an ender that was truly shocking to watch, all the more for the fact that it didn’t involve fifty stairs or him kickflipping off a cliff. We did not give the part its proper due because we were OOO at the time, but after linking what feels like a dozen Jasper parts over just a few short years, it felt worthwhile to hit him up and see how he does all that.
