Merry Christmas to whoever woke up with the stolen Beamer logo off Dre’s car under their tree.

Hate to pile on to 2016’s seemingly infinite supply of bad news, but this is the first year that we’re not coming through with a full Christmas clip. Although the past two have admittedly lost the steam of say 2007’s tour de force, 2010’s G.O.A.T. or 2012’s shockingly productive fall — 2016 is the year when adult life caught up, and skateboarding in November/December outside of Tompkins or a skatepark just didn’t go down like it used to. Below are a few ~moody~ bits from the summer (!!!) to fill the place of a would-be Christmas clip.

Eleven years in a row of by-far the longest running annual web clip series ain’t so bad. Shout out to the O.G. Bryan Chin from who we ripped the idea off in the first place back in the early 2000s. Hope to make it back for the next one.

We’ve been making these clips for over ten years. This is literally the eleventh one, which might make it the longest running web clip in the cluttered history of the #skateboardinternet. This also may be the year where we lightened up a bit. The late weeknights in midtown didn’t happen — not like it feels like Christmas outside anyway. We did make it up to Lenox [once] though, got Tyler Tufty out for a sesh, and skated a stump [twice]. Merry Christmas and thanks to everyone for their support this year.

Merry Christmas. This our our tenth Christmas clip. It is also the shortest out of the ten, but that’s due to some stuff for upcoming projects getting put aside :)

We’ve never issued an apology for poor filming before. We alienated anyone who could be offended by bad filming in 2007 at the very latest. However, the worst filmed clip in this entire video is one of Jake Johnson, who is the best, and a long-time benefactor of the steady hands of Ryan Garshell, Bill Strobeck, Brengar et al. Sorry about that. First and last time you’ll see an apology for really bad filming on here.

With each passing year, it gets tougher to not acknowledge that Gucci Mane has three Christmas songs on the low, especially after straining cheesy Christmas music for the past nine clips. (Yeah, this is somehow the ninth one.) But even if the #musicsupervision department is backlogged due to not having utilized “Used 2” and “Paranoid” yet, maybe one clip a year that isn’t partial to drum machines is okay…

This somehow ended up being the most daylight-heavy Christmas clip of the nine, due to November and December being unseasonably brick. To make up for it, there was one miracle day when we didn’t get kicked out of World Trade, as evidenced by maybe a fifth of this clip being filmed there. Win some, lose some. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas everybody. Here’s our annual mostly midtown / Christmas light footage / non-rap clip. Comes complete with two backpack lines and more tricks on three/four stair handrails than ever before. “I done seen everything today!”

In case you guys didn’t know, during annual Christmas music research for this clip, the fact that the Ying Yang Twins have a Christmas album came to light. Needless to say, it’s incredible. At least for the first minute or so. (Here’s another good one.)
