Summer Starts in August

The rumors are true, yes. We’re bringing The Quartersnacks Cup back this year, but with Vans. It’ll be more public. More info coming soon ;)

Shaquille Waite put together a thorough initial #tfreport of the re-done ground with his crew. It’s so …green! The fakie frontside flip over the bump-to-bar was nuts.

“Skaters who think they smoke a lot of weed have nothing on hockey players.” Una Farrar is the latest subject of Skate Jawn‘s “$100 Chill” series — except it’s about $120 Canadian! (Somehow, it’s actually like $135CAD…)

It’s a beautiful day: Skate Jawn “$100 Chill” series is back, and the latest episode is with none other than Mr. P Tricky.

Mark Suciu told the story of his backside 5050 @ CBS Thrasher cover that was shot while Salt Bae was taking a nap. When we dropped the Top 10 that coincided with the week that “Verso” came out, some people were like, “that’s a weird trick to choose for #1 from the part.” Sure, it’s not some spine contorting technical ledge skating, but motherfucker do you want to lock both of your trucks onto that skinny-ass rail a millisecond after you’ve ollied up a ledge? There’s also decades worth of piss and shit in the pit behind the rail. (It was the inspiration behind this Antonio Quote of the Week.)

Theories uploaded Static VI in full.

Just like a job site. One doing the work, one on his phone, one taking a nap.

“High school was lawless. We didn’t really learn shit. It was just a way to keep kids within one building.” Young legend Coles Bailey has an interview with Jenkem about the mustache he’s been growing since sixth grade, Christmas beef with NYU guys, and meeting Andre 3000.

Jenkem also hung out with Fred Gall to get the history of one of New Jersey’s longest running brands, Metal Skateboards.

Our dude Eze Martinez has a new, all-L.A. part for Pepper Griptape. He knows his way around a bank. He’s been in New York for the past week doing all sorts of …well, you’ll see ;)
