Slicky Boy met Eric Koston this past weekend, so there’s that.

The new Bronze / Flipmode video, 56K premieres at Wreck Room in Brooklyn (940 Flushing Avenue, off the Morgan L stop) this Friday, at 10 P.M. Flyer & more info here. According to an anonymous QS commentor, the premiere will soon be followed by a release of the past three videos on a DVD disc. Who said DVDs were dead?

To get all the events out of the way — Black Dave is opening up for Chief Keef at S.O.B’s (Varrick & West Houston Street) tonight. Flyer here. Doors open at 7:30, show at 9. Age 16+, so you can cool with your young’ns. Tickets are $20.

As if Matt Mooney getting busted for the croissant heist of the century after tweeting about it wasn’t enough, here’s further evidence that you should avoid social media after committing idiotic hilarious “crimes.”

Chris Nieratko interviews the judges, skaters, and producer from this year’s mess of a One in a Million series. What are skateboarders who spend an unhealthy amount of time typing YouTube comments going to complain about now? (Full QS interview with Lurker Lou coming this week or next at the latest. LINSANITY made us wonder how a roster depleted of its two stars could go on an unprecedented win-streak at the helm of a previously undermined player. It turns out that the Knicks were not the only New York institution to prosper during a time that many assumed would coincide with struggle. We all left Tompkins for dead when the final post-Autumn box was stolen, believing that its influence would wane to a point where only those living within a three-block radius knew it still existed.

We were all wrong.

The Knicks had Jeremy Lin. The T.F. has two orange cones. Two equally unlikely heroes. The T.F. had not lost a step amidst this period of missing obstacles, but the issue of eventually re-introducing rails and boxes has come up for discussion. Fans of the T.F. are worried about how this could affect the current harmony happening at Tompkins Square Park. See the diagram below.

4 Young Jeezy Albums > 4 Years of College

It’s chill that Jeezy chose to cash out at the best slice spot in Manhattan, out of all places.

Given the tremendous momentum of the #phatstylez movement, the QS Fashion Desk will slowly be streamlined into a dedicated Phat Stylez website. Until that happens, you can browse recent happenings in the world of Phat Stylez through the movement’s Instagram tag.

A bunch of Swedes took a trip to New York in 1998, and uploaded the 15-year-old video of their journey online. Features a backside flip over the Trump Tower six rail from the illustrious Geo Moya, mad Rhythm cargo pants (#phatstylez?), and too many reasons to tear up over long-gone spots. The Grove Street PATH station in Jersey City seems pretty trife these days. This same thing probably happened 10 times over this past weekend after that awful St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Many assumed its production had been marred by alcohol and other familiar trappings of New York. We feared it would never be released. It finally snowed. Can you people shut up now? Did you get a chance to rock your ‘Lo boots? It’s supposed to be 52 and rain today, so hopefully, this is all gone by Tuesday. Photo by Ian Reid.

New York is kinda hurt, huh? Our baseball team doesn’t have a soul, our basketball team is permanent garbage, our hockey team is irrelevant, our best rapper is 42 (thus also garbage), and our best rapper of the last ten years is serving a 75-year prison sentence. So, it makes perfect sense for our hopes to rest on a doofy whiteboy quarterback…

Shout out to the Lev and the Palace crew. They won a European Skate Brand of the Year award. They’re also riding around and getting it.

E.J. put together a nine-minute homie cam montage featuring Yaje shredding flatbars, people dressed as robots vibing out to 2007 electro hits, and Juicy J cameos. This clip makes E.J. the first person to edit footage of Black Dave the Skater to music by Black Dave the Rapper. If you’re into art and shit, check out this video of E.J’s recent show, Inimicus.

Skate Mental pays homage to skateboarding’s most infamous shoe and the largest overlap between early-2000s skater and graver (goth + raver = gothic raver = graver) culture, the Osiris D3, in their spring 2012 catalog.

Be Pretty is a NY-based video by Esteban Jefferson. They have been putting it online piece-by-piece throughout the past week. Young kids shredding cutty New York spots. Not mad at it.

Late, but the DQM site has an interview up with Brian Delatorre discussing the Skateboarder cover, iPhones, Instagram, and falling victim to technology. Speaking of falling victim to technology — This is next level insane.

The young don of the T.F. Roctakon’s intern, Slicky Boy, has a new freestyle out over the How To Make It In America theme… “Made me spend all my ones on 2 Bros. / I want two of those slices / ’cause my mind is feelin’ real righteous.”

Already posted this on Facebook, and it has nothing to do with skating, but in case you missed it, this is the most G shit ever. If a skater was going to jump out of the ninth story of a Wilshire Boulevard office building, who would have the best chance of talking him down? Carroll? Rick? The Muska? Rob C? Tony Hawk? Peter Bici?
