This Is The Interlude — Antonio Durao’s New Hardbody Part For Thrasher

Where my Moab heads at?

Since it’s safe to assume that if you are checking QS, you are also checking Thrasher, we usually don’t make a point of cross-posting Thrasher videos — because you either just watched the latest one or are about to in five minutes. But in our role as Hardbody & Antonio Durao State Media, this felt like a good time to make an exception.

“HARDBODY INTERLUDE” was a Hardbody part filmed on a cross-country jaunt to L.A. in a pre-industrial revolution BMW that Antonio restored with his bare hands. You will find New York tricks conspicuously absent. If you use the power of reasoning (think: has Long Islander Antonio Durao ever had a part with zero New York tricks?), and assume that sometimes the titles of videos have a point behind them, you can likely assume there’s some New York footage on the way while you formulate your parlay strategy on SkatePolymarket.

The HARDBODY x DANCER Video

Hardbody and Emilio Cuilan teamed up with Hjalte Halberg and Anton Juul’s Dancer imprint for what is effectively a nine-minute Hjalte and friends part to celebrate the release of Hardbody x Dancer. Filmed over the course of a year, it features many of the faces from DANY, and some new inclusions like Kyota, Meatball, David Stenström, and Antonio doing a guest trick across the street from Blue Park, for good measure.

It is no secret that there has been a now-longtime kinship between QS and the city of Copenhagen — dating back to the “56 Tricks” days and when Norwegian Airlines was practically giving away transatlantic plane tickets (e.g. JFK-CPH flights were under $400 round-trip if you bought the right summer dates.) Many years and a pandemic later, nothing has really changed — it was really tough not to watch this and want to start planning an impromptu Euro trip.

Hardbody x Dancer is available now. If you’re in the U.S. 🇺🇸 (or Canada prob), it’s probably best to get it from Hardbody. If you’re in Europe 🇪🇺, it’s probably better to get it from Dancer.

Quartersnacks For Nike SB III

“Damn, he no complied 6ix9ine.” Photo by Colin Sussingham.

Quartersnacks is proud to present its third collaboration with Nike SB, which will be available at skate shops tomorrow, April 14. It will also be available on the QS webstore at 10 A.M. E.S.T. tomorrow. The capsule includes two colorways of a leather SB Blazer XT, a white mesh top, and a ringer tee. A small preview of the capsule and a list of retailers can be found here.

We were inspired by skateboarding’s recent flirtations with color, echoing back to its luminous roots rather than the brown pants era synonymous with this website’s early days. However, the sun did not shine down hard on us as we went out there during the first third of 2018. This clip was filmed in the second and third overtime of winter 2018, with a few free 72-hour trials of spring sprinkled between.

So far, 2018 has been about pushing around with chapped lips, dodging wind, and hoping to stumble on or rediscover something to instill that hope for the warmer days that are out there. Somewhere.

Features Andrew Wilson, Max Palmer, Zach Baker, Keith Denley, John Choi, Josh Wilson, and Antonio Durao.

Filmed and Edited by Emilio Cuilan of Hardbody Entertainment.

Throwback Friday: Volume 1 (August 2014), Volume 2 (October 2016)
