Griffin’s Skate Video is a 34-minute New York video from the same young crew that brought you the “Return of the Genius” edit from the spring, beautifully filmed on a potato. [And/or maybe a Y2K-era digi cam?] It is a blend of the lovingly absurd (e.g. drop-in’s off U-Haul trucks, whatever 1:35 is) and some incredible skating (that 5050 then wallride line at 135th and Riverside!) And if you’re the old-man-yells-at-cloud type (“I don’t get it! Is it …ironic?!”), please do remember that DLX was doing the same exact goddamn thing twenty years ago ;)

Tristan Rowean dropped a new part for Free by Neema Joorabchi. Heavy on the New York clips, and your legs will feel tired just watching the second-to-last Fort Greene trick. Paine Webber no-push ollie was insane, too.

Gas Giants 2026 — Ish Cepeda’s “INERTIA” Part

At the beginning of last year, Ish Cepeda had the first #1 in the the first Top 10 of 2025, with a 10/10 front heel over a hubba going the hard way.

To start this year off, we have a full part from Ish, and it also happens to begin with a 10/10 front heel, just to keep things consistent. “INERTIA” coincides with a run of boards for his Gas Giants imprint, which are only available from skate shops for the time being. (Online eventually.)

Watch out for the bros’ beverages when you’re rattling off flip tricks at the end of your line 🫡

Let’s get through the remaining year-end stuff and not talk about it ever again: 1) Adjacency Bias dropped their top five 2024 videos from the Pacific Northwest skate scene. 2) Simple Magic assesses an array of very specific 2024 skateboarding predictions that were made a year ago, now that the year closed out. 3) Boil the Ocean’s #1 part of 2024 didn’t make the QS Readers Poll top 20, but it definitely should have.

Andrew Miami videographer Zoogie dropped a six-minute New Year’s edit featuring Sully Cardenas, Stafhon Boca, Coles Bailey, Elijah Odom and many more familiar faces. Gabe’s noseslide at the Fifth Avenue Apple Store might legit be the second or third clip anyone has ever got there on account of the security.
