Someone put together a remix part with a lot of Dennis Busenitz’s post-Since Day One footage. Did anyone else miss that China Banks manual sequence? Not sure how that one slipped under the radar. Wow.

One week after condemning post-2013 usage of songs from Enter the 36 Chambers for skate clips, we’re going to go ahead and link this ten-minute video DC put together about…36 Chambers and skateboarding. It’s basically the video version of this (“skaters like raw shit!”) and turns into a bit of a DC puff piece towards the end, but they do manage to interview Gino, Kareem, Jeff Pang, etc. Are skate media outlets already planning content around the twenty-year anniversary of Lifestyles of the Poor and Dangerous A.K.A. “The Most Edited-To Rap Album of All-Time” in two years?

Waka Flocka Wal-Mart Board

Slim Thug skates now (someone forward him this Nick Panza part) and Waka Flocka seems to have inked an endorsement deal with Wal-Mart skateboards, or at least borrowed the services of their art department. Any excuse to remind people about this song is fine.

For the first time in over a year, there is a box at Tompkins, thanks to the good people at Labor Skate Shop. It has two height levels and has been painted forrest green in hopes of diverting the Parks Department from tossing it. Insiders predict it will last until Thursday. Supposedly, it’s already in bits and pieces.

Here’s a cell phone / bro cam clip from the Palace Skateboards crew. Includes Torey Goodall and Shawn Powers appearances. Southbank looks fun.

Space Heater is a sequel to “the video called ‘video.'” A ton of cutty New York spots, yet another joint cameo from Loose Trucks Max and Corey Rubin, and a good Pete Rock sample source. Filmed in New York this past summer and fall.

The Chrome Ball Incident has a collection of Girl and Chocolate ads promoting past video projects in honor of Pretty Sweet.

“Can I get a chili crunch dog with onions, tomato, lettuce, pickle, jalapeño, shish ka-bob, with apple turnover.” The Berrics has an “Off the Grind” segment with Clark Hassler skating around downtown Manhattan. There’s also another interview segment with him where he skates a few NJ/NY spots and talks about what his first pro board graphic would hypothetically be.

Jenkem Mag interviewed Dennis Busenitz about almost dying, energy drinks, etc.

Dudes are still skating Seaport with the knobs on. What is a more indispensable aspect of New York skateboarding: wallrides / wallies / no-complys or Big L music supervision in web clips?

A certain bank spot outside of New York will likely soon be demolished. The city is building a road through the apartments, and the banks look like they’re next to fall victim to construction. (The other section of the spot probably won’t be affected.)

Worst Video has a lot of solid New York footage in it.

Returning to a theory from a month-old post, renown dog-lover Dennis Busenitz is the leading candidate for unanimous approval from the otherwise polarized skateboard electorate. As the previous generation of skateboarders with a 100% favorable public opinion rating like Mike Carroll and Gino Iannucci enter their twilight years, Busenitz’s name is becoming the first one summoned when diminishing the accomplishments of sometimes inferior, but often younger skateboarders. For example, “I’d rather watch Busenitz skate a curb than this kid do flip-in-flip-out tricks.”

Busenitz already has a trademark top YouTube fan comment, which typically expresses sympathies for his filmer having to keep up with his speed. Only time will tell if he reaches the level of “I’d rather watch Busenitz go grocery shopping than ____,” something currently reserved only for Gino. This new Brick Harbor clip shows him approaching that direction as he pays homage to skateboarding’s most beloved grocery shopper by doing his nollie cab switch back tail Mouse maneuver some 400 miles north of USC.

Be sure to get out and vote today, especially all of you in swing states. “Don’t boo, vote.” We recommend silencing the music and cueing up the Snowman’s 2008 election-predicting anthem, conveniently embedded below.

All My Whole Team Is Very Important, Straight Up

You know who’s kinda good at skateboarding? Lucas Puig. The illustrious Manolo mixtape series came through with a five-minute French Mariano tribute, accompanied by a left-field Big L remix. Even though we consistently state that French Mariano is superior to French Montana, a “Shot Caller” remix wouldn’t have been inappropriate.

New 30 seconds of footage from one of Queens’ finest, Luis Tolentino. (Related: 5050ing up a seven-stair rail is just normal now. Remember how that was a joke back when Yeah Right! came out?)

Apparently, people still skate spots that aren’t the new L.E.S. Park. Some bro cam footage from the BQE spot in Williamsburg.

The Philly-based Skate Jawn crew has a new issue of their ‘zine online, in addition to a new full-length video filmed mostly in the northeast.

Zabar’s caught onto our favorable trend forecast, which is pretty funny. How does this get turned into free or heavily discounted groceries?

With his third part this year (Note: It’s July), Mark Suciu is perhaps the first skateboarder to approach Wayne in 2006-2007 / Gucci in 2008-2009 levels of productivity and output. This one is filmed entirely at night and in downtown San Jose. We’ll happily curate an all-Midtown Manhattan edition in exchange for 15% of Habitat’s stock in the seemingly unshakeable brown pants industry.

Bad News! Don’t bother going up to 59th Street to skate any low ledges this summer. The entire monument has been fenced off.

More bad (maybe outdated) news! The eight-stair square rail at CBS got knobbed.

“Do you think it’s hard to get the rights for Biggie?” That seems to have been the case. Here’s Dennis Busenitz’s Roll Forever part remixed to the second or third best song off Ready to Die.
