It should come as no surprise that Dustin Henry — who has swept “Skater You Are Most O.K. With Dating Your Daughter” accolades at the QS awards for seven years in a row — had our favorite section in Vans’ globetrotting, multi-editor endeavor, Nice To See You. A month after every single person we know shared his perfectly balanced kickflip front nosegrind around the curve might seem a bit early to remind everyone how much that part fucking ruled, but it’s never too early to have Crazy T remix it with some Third Eye Blind ♥
We have posted Mr. Marshall’s “YEEEO!” on the QS IG story every Friday at midnight for about two years now. It has been a way to usher in the upcoming weekend; hearing it releases a jolt of serotonin. It means skating, friends, good times, laughs, and maybe an adult beverage or two are ahead. For at least a few proceeding seconds, you forfeit the right to be upset: “YEEEEO!”
(The clip is from Dime’s Knowing Mixtape 2 video, to answer perhaps the most-DM’d question in the QS inbox.)
But Will is more than just an announcer of good times. As you likely know, he is profoundly insane at skateboarding, and to commemorate his talents + wrap this summer season of fun, we have enlisted the services of Tyler Warren — no stranger to the curation of good times himself — to remix Will’s footage from the past two or three years.
This summer, we linked back up with Alltimers to create a sequel to “Chilling With Friends.” Mixed by Crazy T in those depths of lockdown when time felt like it was at a standstill, we put together “Surf Party” as an audio escape from quarantine, and a tribute to the songs that make us smile.
This holiday season, we teamed up with Alltimers to celebrate our friends, homies, family, boys, girls, brothers, sisters, buddies, partners in crime, fellow schemers, gang, team, squad, mob and crew.
Dedicated in loving memory of our friend Dillon Ojo. Tell your friends you love them.
