Jeff Cecere is a filmmaker (Triple Or Nothing, This Is A Window, Mind How You Go) from Connecticut and raised in Florida, who is the creative behind the new board brand, Guest Room. I sat down with Jeff on a park bench and made a call to Caleb McNeely, the second part-owner of Guest Room to discuss the origins of their newest project ahead of their inaugural video, It’s All Perfect.
Guest Room Skateboards is the new venture by Caleb McNeely, Jeff Cecere, and Kevin O’Dell. Following the crew-to-brand pipeline that has lead to the creation of some of the most beloved brands in the QS hallways and beyond, Guest Room is an amalgamation of I-95ers putting in work around the corners of Jeff Cecere’s triple-feature slate from the first half of the decade: Triple Or Nothing, This Is A Window, Mind How You Go. If you were wondering why they didn’t go for four, getting Guest Room off the ground is your answer ;) Starting a hard goods brand is no small lift, so congrats to the crew on getting it done ❤️

For the third Christmas in a row, Jeff Cecere and friends have brought us a video of wholesome family entertainment to heal our minds after being pummeled by S.O.T.Y-aspirant epics.
Triple Or Nothing takes the Antonio in Johnny’s Vid approach of just throwing the trick everyone is waiting for right in the opening seconds, but with the added twist of saving another wild Reggaeton Ledges-adjacent ollie for the closing minutes of the video. Zac Gavin and Johnny Cumaoglu return to build on their third-eye sensibilities from the last project (switch crook on that underpass ledge is absurd), a lot of Krooked extended family members + Dick Rizzo pop by for cameos, and Salomon Cardenas pulls through with his finest work to date. Not a bad slate for what has to now be one of the best video franchises of the 2020s.

Simon’s 4x ollies at the Jerome Avenue Banks will forever rank as one of the most insane tricks ever done in New York + Milton’s line there + Con-Ed ollie is also completely fucked.

“Then I counted Tyshawn’s part and he only has 32 tricks in Blessed which was his S.O.T.Y. part. It made me realize that it’s not necessarily the quantity of tricks that makes a part good.” Korahn Gayle chats about some of his biggest influences for Slam City Skates’ “Visuals” series.
