This one premiered over the weekend, but only catching it now.
Stephen Ostrowski’s projects always feel special, and the latest is obviously no exception — though it’s hard not to wish that Stephen had a bit more time in front of the lens 😔
“wick & spit” is a Glue Skateboards + extended family video, featuring an intro part from Leo Baker (crazy that Carroll Gardens schoolyard truly popped off as soon as the Carroll manny pad met its demise), and a heavy closer from Donovan Wildfong, which includes the elusive *triple replay* of a clip from the same angle. In between, you’ll find guest clips from QS favorites like Cooper Winterson, Akobi Williams, Briana Delaney and Evan Wasser.
Last but not least, let’s give skateboarding a collective round of a applause for just how much skateable terrain we’ve been able to extract from Brooklyn Borough Hall and the surrounding area. The mayor better get off the bullshit with those planters — we didn’t forget that hokey campaign stop yo.
Leo is tight. Various hair lengths in a video part is always dope.
