Tre Flip: The Movie (Dir. Salomon Cardenas, 2025)

Much commotion was made over a tre flip in 2025. After the Top 10 Desk conceded to the zeitgeist in its final dispatch of the year — rather than clawing against it like it might’ve stubbornly been inclined to do during less-exhausting years — the QS office was able to find consolation in the fact that this tre flip could be left behind in the year it had come to define.

And what better way to palette-cleanse and usher in a new year for tre flips than… over a hundred new tre flips?

Over the past twelve months, Salomon Cardenas had been asking his friends to do tre flips in front of his iPhone camera, much like had had for switch flips in 2023 and frontside flips in 2024. The results are a cornucopia of techniques: some flawless and floaty, others beleaguered and war-torn, with everything that could possibly be fit in between. (Hilariously, Kevin Tierney had really good regular-footed one in the bag for the video, despite much of his personal identity revolving around switch tres, and it got lost in the filing cabinets.)

It is also the first edition to not be scored entirely by Sahbabii’s orchestra, but everyone knows that Madonna was basically the Sahbabii of the 90s 🦑

No final word on what the trick for 2026 will be, but it has been observed that he has yet to do a nollie trick and yet to do a heelflip, so you can draw your own conclusions and plan accordingly.
