All we need now is an army of radioactive cats

…to balance out the rat colonies.

This is what the Manhattan Bridge Park is supposed to look like after they re-do the floor with new asphalt (no more of the tar pit floor they have now), and switch the plastic ramps for concrete ones. It looks more like a legitimate skatepark, and less like a raver/teenage runway hideout (which is what it currently is.) It’s continuing status as a Class 3 health hazard is TBD.

Shout out to the smart people responsible for putting in *normal* ledges without a ramp or fullpipe leading up to them.

  1. I was about to say this looked like a waste of space, but then I remembered how small the actual park is. Looks like they’re expanding to the wall and I’m glad they put some tranny in there. Too bad every skate obstacle has to be under 4 feet tall or whatever that dumb rule is.

  2. who ever designs these stupid NY parks does not think about the flow of a skateboarder.

  3. when is this happening? its good enough there are 6 spots on the design where you can get lines done so its all gucci. Just get rid of the bleachers
