R.I.P. (Not the main) Gray’s Papaya

The 37th Street location was certainly not as important among skateboarders, considering there are basically no skate spots around 37th and 8th, making it real out of the way. But the demise of non-2 Bros. low-cost eating establishments is never a good thing, even if you make enough money (i.e. in excess of $50 a week) to sustain yourself on food that costs more than a single ride on the train. There’s a 2 Bros. up the block, so people’s preference of low-cost tomato sauce and cheese probably outweighed that of onions and pork, etc.

  1. are you just blind or something? theres plenty of dollar spots around the city. tompkins has like 3 of them right next to it.

  2. dont know who dat nigga above me is, but in the spirit of not being an e-thug im not going to tell him to suck a bag of dicks for using my name.

  3. Since selling a 51% stake in Quartersnacks to Tech Deck last year, I have only been eating at Balthazar and Blue Ribbon, and wouldn’t be caught dead in any place selling things for $1.
