Spots: Uptown Manhattan — Harlem & Morningside

Spot: Atop this sewage treatment plant, is an assortment of brick banks that have made their way into several videos over the years. All of the banks vary in steepness levels, but none of them could accurately be described as “mellow.” You’ll need to put in work to pull a flip trick on one, so most people settle for skating the concrete lips at the top of the banks. Several sections are waxed better than others, but ensure that you have a candle with you in the event that the lip needs a touch-up.
The ground here is pretty rough, but workable, you just need to try a bit harder to gather up speed.
There are some concrete ledges spread throughout the park as well.
Bust — ♦♦♦ / Half-and-half: The Parks Department makes patrols around the region, and if they happen to be posted up at the entrance, they may occasionally tell you that your skateboard is not welcome in the park, so you won’t even get a chance to skate here. It all depends on the day and your luck.
Location: 145th Street and Riverside Drive. Take the 1 train to 145th Street and skate all the way west along 145th. The spot is towards the water, inside the park.
