Long Island City Waterfront

Spots: Queens

Update: The long, wavy benches have been knobbed. The single ones remain the same. The wooden ledges also had chunks taken out of them.

Spot:

Wooden benches that can be skated as banks you ollie up to, plus some other wooden benches.

Bust — ♦♦♦♦♦: There is no skateboarding allowed in the park, and the Parks Department patrols it heavy. They’ll tell you to leave as soon as they see you, or possibly issue you a summons if you’re unlucky.

Location: Gantry State Park, on the Long Island City waterfront. Take the 7 to Vernon-Jackson, skate west on 50th Avenue until you hit Center Boulevard (the last street before you hit the waterfront.) Make a right on Center Boulevard and skate two blocks north until you see the waterfront plaza. The stuff to skate is all out on the pier.
