Spots: Brooklyn — Bushwick, Greenpoint & Williamsburg
Spot: Inside this park adjacent to the YMCA, is a stage set atop an oversized three, and a narrow, downhill manual pad. The stage is concrete, and equivalent to the size of an average six. You have between twenty and thirty feet of runway for whatever trick you may be trying. The manual pad is just over two feet wide, and extends down an elongated six for about fifteen feet until it hits a mellow kink at the end. The runway is short, but you don’t need a ton of speed for it. There are also a few concrete up-ledges, but those are rarely skated. Bring some wax if you are intent on doing so.
Bust — ♦ / Rare: You should not get kicked out of here, and kids from the park don’t really hang out at this portion too often. They lock up the park at night, so it is a daytime only spot.
Location: At the YMCA on Humboldt Street and Boerum Street. Take the L train to Montrose, skate south on Bushwick Avenue for two blocks, and make a right on Borerum. Skate for one block until you hit Humboldt.
