Spots: Brooklyn — Bushwick, Greenpoint & Williamsburg

Spot: Similar to the tradition of most under-a-bridge parking lot makeshift creations, this place goes through highs and lows of what is actually there. The cement mini quarterpipes and hip/bank have remained consistent fixtures here for several years, while most of the ledges are usually either destroyed by car accidentally backing into them, or the city receiving complaints and coming to remove them on their own. There has been one concrete block that is off-and-on in terms of having angle iron affixed to it and another marble slab jacked from a construction site that can be set up in a variety of ways.
The spot is located in a well-paved lot, and under a bridge. It is dry enough to skate during light drizzles, but average rain makes its way into the space through car tires, wind, and a network of pipes draining down from the BQE. During afternoons on the weekdays it also does tend to get a bit hectic with cars coming in and out, but it is only a minor hassle.
Bust — ♦ / Rare: You won’t get kicked out of here.
Location: Graham Avenue and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (i.e. the lot underneath it that runs throughout the elevated portion) in Williamsburg. Take the L train to Graham Avenue and skate north for three or four blocks until you hit the BQE. The spot is underneath.
