#’s On That Board

Stafhon Boca and a fan. Nah but for real, the Birdman in a yellow suit is 🔥

“In a remarkable gesture of support for grassroots skateboarding, renowned skateboard designer Antonio Durao has fulfilled a long-held dream by donating a collection of his Hardbody deck models and essential skateboarding gear to the Uganda Skateboard Society.” Pretty sure E.J. designed those, but a beautiful collaboration. S.O.T.Y. shit. 🏆

No Jeff Cecere video this Christmas, but he’s working on one 🎅

Fuck This Industry made some decks, and to commemorate, dropped a full Myles Underwood part to much critical acclaim. (“Dis might be more influential then the el toro flip 💯.”)

Another 2025 TJ Rogers part?! Yep, Another 2025 TJ Rogers part!

Should We Do A Mission Today?

The first Back To The Banks contest since the big banks reopened, and the first in ~seventeen~ years, is going down this Saturday at 1 P.M. until 5:30. $10k in prizes, five obstacle zones. Presented by Wip Energy, Labor, Tenant, Spitfire & Grand. Flyer here.

It is actually crazy how contemporary Jason Byoun’s skating from ten-ish years ago looks in 2025. Nick Von Werssowetz A.K.A. Lurk NYC uploaded a seven-minute A-roll remix of all the clips he filmed of Jason from 2013 to 2018. Not sure whose S.O.T.Y. from 2013 – 2018 we’re handing to Jason, but it’s gotta be someone’s. (For further viewing from the era: Jason’s Life Is Goodie part is blessed too …except he doesn’t say that anymore because it means “b less.”)

Max Palmer + Wasser + Homies Network? Yes, chef.

Got A Lil’ Scribbly Last Night

All of Van Wastell’s backside tailslides.

Added Matlok Bennett-Jones’s “At Aragon Gardens” part to The Quartersnacks One-Spot Part Map 📍, filmed entirely at …Aragon Gardens in London. That’s 99 spots on the map! Really hope #100 isn’t some bullshit like a part all filmed at Third and Degraw. (Unless it’s Gabe.)

📅 1) Wip Energy, Labor, Tenant, Spitfire, Grand + Gotham Park are bringing the Back To The Banks contest …back for the first time since 2008 (!) Next Saturday, October 4 from 1-5 P.M. $10k in prizes. Flyer here. 2) The fellas from Yardsale are hosting a pop-up + party on the Lower East Side this week. Flyer here.

Summer Gotta End Someday Yo

East River Park south of Delancey opened on Friday. This means that the bridge that once lead to Alligator Ledge is back, although — brace yourself for bad news — it will not feature an Alligator Ledge. It does, however, include some suburban parking lot manny pads.

📅 1) Naquan & crew crew are hosting a skate jam with Thrasher at the Red Hook Skatepark tomorrow (9/9) @ 3 P.M. Flyer here. 2) Asics will be premiering their new video by Jacob Harris, A Guided Tour, at Palace Bar in Greenpoint this Thursday @ 8 PM. 21+. Flyer here.

“Will Steve Rodriguez and Gotham Park ultimately need to petition city hall to install a higher-yet rail or add several kinks? Does Antonio Durao’s membership in the rarified club of street handrail switch backside noseblunters put him on track to join the yet-more exclusive cadre of street handrail switch kickflip backside noseblunters?” …yeah, um, about that. Boil the Ocean wrote about how good the skateboarding going down at the Banks 2.0 is.

Who’s Allowed To Skate The Crib?

So just in the past four days, the Brooklyn Banks reopened, Hardies threw a skate jam at D7 without incident (well, for the most part…), there’s a “~mini ramp~” at Tompkins, and summer *technically* hasn’t started yet…

Nico from Paris has a new bro cam edit out on YouTube that covers a trip to New York + Copenhagen, with an extended Paris section at the end. Probably one of the best places to see Kevin Rodrigues out in the wild …on the internet. Also includes Antonio, E.J., Hjalte + the bros.

A 420-foot nollie lipslide is essentially the same runtime as a 2025 rap song. Also posted this on the IG story only to have people be like, “He’s using rails!” I think you guys might be missing the point of a 420-foot nollie lipslide…
