There was a tornado warning in the city yesterday. Unfortunately for us, we had a Wall Jam to throw. Nearing the 11th hour, the morning rain had dried up, so we figured, you know what? Fuck it, we wall.
We had a solid hour with a handful of soldiers who were down to defy the forecast. Quim Cardona showed up! Chachi was there! Holy Japhey Dow bigspin! Then, it started to pour, so of course we had to turn it into a spelling bee to get rid of the cash and product somehow.

Previously on the #trendwatch, we cataloged the Tompkins Tetris phenomenon that has been taking hold of the T.F. this year. Born from this cultural movement was a vert wall on the west side of the Tompkins fence, which many of you likely know as the Tompkins Hell Ride™.
Just when the excitement of the new obstacle was at its peak following the Jenkem Block Party two weekends back, the vert wall vanished overnight. We had no other choice than to call Franco, the vert wall’s principal architect, to better understand where and when this Hell Ride™ would continue.

Greg Navarro and Jenkem’s video of profile of Ari Misurelli and Luca Mayer racked up over half-a-million views in less than a week. While it’s horrifying that they don’t have any friends their age who take skateboarding “seriously” — for context, that is about half the amount of views that the reigning S.O.T.Y’s part got in 7ish months. People wanna see the youth skate. Hopefully, that makes more of ’em skate, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After an arduous road, some heart-wrenching misses, tens of thousands of makes, much blood, a lot of sweat, and maybe not a whole lot of tears — we have arrived at the Game of G.R.A.T.E. Finals between Frankie Spears and Mark Suciu. The winner takes home a fat stack of 20s. Everyone else has to go home and train for next year.
