Really confused with what’s going on over at the Girl camp… Guy and Koston leave after 20+ years, and in the same week, we find out that Forrest Edwards got dropped from Zero — yet there hasn’t been a single sighting of Forrest’s face with the word “welcome” under it on the Crailtap Instagram. Anyone know what gives?

Gonna have to agree with Kalis on this one. This guy is insane. 2015 Q.S.S.O.T.Y. frontrunner. No clue why he didn’t skate to “Stick Talk” though.

I could listen to him ramble on about skateboarding for hours.” Apparently chicks dig us because we don’t care about them — or just care about skating with the squad way more than chasing girls and that’s hot? The Warschauer Benches are on the shortlist of the funnest spots I’ve ever skated, and they’re nothing more than a better version of the Newport blocks from ~15 years ago. Kingpin has a full feature on their creation and history. Amazing how the formula for a perfect skate spot is no more sophisticated than decent ground + wooden benches + metal, and how often that goes ignored.

Even though the rumors have been going for years, the Love Park redesign looks like it’s becoming an increasing reality. It’s nice that they’re turning it into a grassy crack smoking campsite with a big toilet in the middle.

Remember Chad Knight? For whatever reason, decided to give his Shetler Show episode a chance. There are some interesting bits, namely having to do with the late nineties skate boom. People can call companies like Osiris “corny” in hindsight, but we’re still talking about them more than some of the “cool” stuff from when we were growing up. All the corny shit means a lot in life. Think about who’s song you’re more likely to hear at a party in 2015: 50 or Ja? Yo I miss Yung Berg.

There’s no shortage of high praise on the Stretch and Bobbito documentary going around, but as an addendum to that, you should listen to the two-hour Juan Ep podcast with the two of them. They make a point of not spoiling anything in the film itself. Bobbito not knowing this was a Dogg Pound beat or the context of the song is the most hilariously east coast shit ever. That song was in a clip, btw ;)

QS Sports Desk Play of the Week: The entire highlights video of Magic-Thunder from Friday. I witnessed a $50 bet go down this past week on Russell Westbrook being league MVP. He’ll probably finish top three, but it doesn’t matter because he’s actually the greatest basketball player in the history of skateboarding.

Fat Kid Spot is getting turned into a skate plaza.

Mike Anderson has to be one of the most underrated dudes out there. Part is a year old, but Krooked uploaded his “Yellow Van” ender as a standalone thing.

SMLTalk has an abbreviated history of the salad grind, including an interesting theory that Chris Dobstaff was the principal reason behind its fall from popularity.

The city of Philadelphia will review a plan for the remodeling of Love Park at the end of April. Construction is slated to begin at the end of next winter. You think someone nollie back heels or fakie flips the gap before it gets torn down in a year?
