For Mac — Eighty Twunny’s ‘TOOK THAT’ Video

Eighty Twunny and an amalgamation of Travel Skateshop brodies just dropped TOOK THAT, a follow-up to 2023’s Backside Sitdown. It was made in memory of their friend Mac.

Standouts include Derek Thor stretching the switch frontside crook in ten different directions (ride on, to manual, dual dismounts into the Greenville bank to cap it off), Aron Moloney finding ways to sneak a switch frontside crook on his way out of L-ledges and into fakie manuals, and Will Robins, who does no switch frontside crooked grinds but Steely Dans his way into answering a question that has been asked by any skateboarder who passed the Halsey J underpass this summer: “why the fuck is that thing concrete’d over?” (Fully prepared for the first comment to be “bro, that thing has been concreted since 1991,” but baby I’m not over by the Halsey J as much as I’d like to be so I hope you understand.)

If you get a few “oh yeah, we haven’t been there in a while, we should go”-suggestions without an insurmountable chorus of “that spot sucks” — the homie video has accomplished its bare minimum mission.

But this is a homie video of a greater caliber than that.
