Bookended by some lllooooooong lines this week. First time seeing #1, the main thought was, “wait, did they just bail on the camera bag for two blocks on a busy intersection? Nobody’s visible in the background at the start.” Asked the source, and the answer was yes, they did. The bag was [somehow] still there. Gotta take risks to stack clips, yaknow?

Glad she’s onboard, though was reading this Times profile of the woman trying to turn the space under the Brooklyn Bridge (Manhattan side) into a giant park and wondering — how has it taken this long to mention skaters? #2 and #1 are interchangeable this week (as they are every week) — but it kind of felt like the skater at #1 was long overdue for top billing around these parts, so there it is :)

Pocket‘s trip to Turkey video is so good. Highly recommended pre-weekend skate viewing. Though you’ll leave it hating your local spots and …wanting to go to Turkey.

A good run is one where the people in charge know when to stop. If you run forever, you lose the chance to look back and appreciate where you’ve been and why you were running in the first place.” Simple Magic on Alltimers shutting up shop after an eleven-year run 🍸 (All of the boards are sold out, but there are some soft goods left over on the Alltimers going out of business sale if you wanted to grab a keepsake.)
