Last week, Hardbody premiered their second video, OD β€” the follow-up to 2021’s Hardbody Video. Featuring an opening part from Kevin Tierney, a debut part from Ross Berkowitz, a two-song triumph from Jason Byoun, no skimpage on footage of Brandon Scott James, and a mind bending ender from Antonio Durao.

For a brand with zero posts on Instagram, it was a full house at the Village East theater on a humid summer night.

The line started to bend around the block at about 6:30 P.M. It’s always a sight to see the theater take the time to put up a skate video name on their letter board. β€œOD” made it bottom and center on the north facing side, but honestly those other titles could very well be names for other skate videos.

Two Kevins, one with a specialty in triple-kinked Central Park Hubbas.

Band tee to the show Brand board to the premiere.

Countless skate videos have premiered here since the closing of Sunshine Cinema in 2018. Every time, it’s the same charade of finding a seat or choosing to cram in the aisle.

Antonio, Bop and K.T. seated front row in an unmarked VIP section. I asked Antonio if he’s got footage in the video. He answered nervously, β€œUh yeah maybe something, like a clip or two.”

“I was even at the first Mind Field premiere in L.A. and tonight, P Tricky got the loudest cheer I have ever heard at a skate premiere in my entire life.” β€” Mooney

Apparently, there’s a Copenhagen premiere this week if you’re out that way. Will post info once we hear something.
