Still Relevant in 2010

And even further into the interview, in regards to Dylan’s controversial shoe design (controversial only to those who don’t understand them, some clearly do) — “I don’t think they look like elf shoes. I think they look like dancing shoes.” Let’s talk about how right we were.

It’s possible to devise a wide “press” package involving all the “publicity,” threatening text message screen shots, and key industry figure heads requesting re-edits all in light of this particular release, but ever since it spread further than any of us had ever imagined possible, it is probably more honorable to avoid discussing any of the reactions to it. If you dig deep into the Slap archive, there’s a post where Kalis claims he was psyched on it, and that matters more than anything else, and essentially overrides whatever more could be said about it.

It’s a trivia question, too.

After keeping it off the internet, and confined to DVD for a full year because I figured the poorly filmed footage already seen on the website deserved to be seen in full quality in all of its horribly filmed glory, Can’t Ban the Snackman Volume 2 is officially online for those who were too cheap (or too smart) to drop the five bucks at Autumn for it. I figure I will eventually put together a page for the complete rosters of all the videos and extended download options if anyone actually needs them, but for now, since updates have been few and far between this month, here are four links.

After many rave reviews following the circulation of the video on DVD-Rs, it is finally on the internet by popular demand.

Download from Mega Upload You need to sit through about 45-seconds before the link for a regular download appears, but it should download just as quickly as the Sendspace link.

I cannot put it up on Youtube because the majority of the music on it is copyrighted by Warner Brothers, who essentially has Youtube and Google video in a chokehold and disables the audio on pretty much any remotely popular song. And since I am not going to use the old excuse of “boo hoo rights are hard to get so I’m just going to edit the whole video to Animal Collective and singlehandedly the worst rap song ever since they are so down for the cause but at the same time put half of my audience to sleep,” I opted for other, lesser known hosting sites. Once again, you are much better off simply downloading the Quicktime file of the video from the links above.

But if you insist, an embedded video is after the jump.
